One of the best bars in Boone! Fresh food, cold drinks, and a friendly owner. I always feel comfortable here. They have a couple of pool tables downstairs and have great themed trivia during the week. They also host various events on the weekends. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a safe, vibrant neighborhood bar. More...

Awesome tacos! I am not one to normally order fish tacos, but I took a leap of faith and ordered them at Galileo's. Best decision I could have made! !I'm not sure if the fish tacos are available every night of the week, or just occasionally, but I highly recommend them. I have also tried the veggie tacos and they are flavorful and fun as well. As an appetizer, the fried avocado is super fun and tasty. In addition to delicious tacos, Galileo's has an incredibly yummy strawberry margarita. Like my tacos, I will take three. These margs are sweet and tangy, and pair well with savory food!Another thing I like about Galileo's is the casual seating and ambiance. I have come here multiple times with larger groups and the seating is very comfortable. More...

Great little hole in the wall place.  The staff were all very friendly with awesome attitudes.  We sat downstairs which has a pool table, ping pong table, pinball machine, claw machine and some wall games.  The spiral stairs were neat and unique.  Menu is small, but the food was really good.  We had chips & queso as an app and it was super tasty.  The burgers were phenomenal!  Overall if you're looking for somewhere with a simple menu and a fun atmosphere head here. Galileo's was awesome enough to close its doors to the public on a Saturday night for a gradation party so this review is based off this private event only. This was my first trip to Boone and my first and only time at Galileo's. There was a cover at the door which included build your own tacos and non alcoholics drinks. The tacos were phenomenal and are available on their menu! They fried the corn tortillas as people walked up to build their taco so they were fresh, hot, and had melted cheese on them with the choice of pulled chicken, blackened fish, and portobellos for the filling. I made myself two chicken tacos and ate every last bite even though I ate beforehand, they were that enjoyable. I topped my taco with pico, avocado, and sour cream. They definitely didn't skimp on the amount of avocado they served, they provided a medium sized bowl stacked with fresh avocado slices which I very much appreciated. I also noticed some pickled jalapeños and greens for toppings. The inside is fairly sized and they have multiple tables on their covered outdoor patio and a game room downstairs that consists of pool, pinball, shuffle board and a few other fun games. They had a great selection of beer on tap and drink specials including slushes and frozen Moscow mules. I had a great time and am looking forward to trying this place during regular service next time I'm in Boone. Might I add the service was great, there was at least 3 people working for this event and they were all very nice, hospitable, hard working people. Thanks for a great time ! More...

Limited menu, but tasty and fast. These folks have honed in on what they do well. Menu consists of burgers, fish & chips and veggie or fish tacos, but all are delicious and are served quickly by friendly and responsive staff. If you're taking kids, go early. It began feeling like a bar scene by a few minutes after 7. But for an afternoon or early evening meal, it's kid friendly. My family recommends the fish & chips and the veggie tacos. More...

This is a great, laid back place with heaping portions. Ordered the fried avocado and they certainly didn't hold back on the portion size, and they were crunchy and tasty. Got the Galileo's burger and was completely satisfied. They were short-staffed, but the manager checked on us several times and we didn't have to wait long for our food. Come hungry. More...

Cool place to go to that's still on king st. But far enough away from the crowds and busy traffic downtown Boone. Might be small place but has a lot to offer. Down stairs they have two pool tables, ping pong  table and a couple other games and yes to watch the game. Food is a bit pricey but it's all really good food. More...

Amazing!!!!!I broke adult code and took my family here after a visit to Tweetsie. We arrived around 6 pm. We opted to sit on the patio and were seated immediately. I noted there are pool tables and darts, downstairs. The service was exceptional!  The beer menu had plenty of options. We chose a porter and amber. Luckily there was even milk for our little guys. We started with chips and queso. It was excellent. We even were offered a chip refill. Our boys appreciated it as the queso was a hit. Creamy, rich and full of flavor. For our entrees we had:Hubby- jalapeño queso burger with friesMe-portobello (added chicken) with fries8 year old- the "plain" burger with cheese added and fries Hubby said he wished burger was cooked medium...but that was his only "issue." I highly recommend the chicken with portobello. The spinach, onions, peppers were cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. I was able to cut with a fork. It was divine!!!!!!!The burger patty sizes were fine. My son was able to share his burger with our youngest. What I appreciated the most is that the staff said they could make anything to accomodate the kiddos. While it wasn't necessary I truly appreciated the offer. There is no kid menu since this spot is geared for adults...it is awesome to know they are willing to make kid friendly items. We had 4 beers, 3 entrees, an appetizer and 2 cups of milk...our total was $40 ish. We travel to Boone annually and I will be sure to return!(Side note - the table by us tried one of the specials which was shrimp and grits. I heard them say it was excellent!)Awesome job. :) :) More...

I ate here recently for my good friend's rehearsal dinner, and I really enjoyed it. They had a good variety of beers, pretty good ambiance, and very tasty food! I'm only sad that I didn't realize they had a legitimate ping pong table downstairs until we were about to leave, or else I would have disappeared from the party to play a couple of rounds. Overall, definitely recommended if you're in town! More...

I almost don't want to write this review or the secret will be out! ;)This is the best food in town.  Excellent quality, healthily and deliciously prepared.   The specials are *always* delicious and their fish tacos and quesadillas are the best!Fun atmosphere (downstairs has all kinds of arcade games, pool, darts, etc) and the nicest owners and staff in town.    You don't see staff turnover here because it's that great of a place!   You can easily become a cherished regular, Norm!Parking isn't obvious - it's actually down and across its side street. BEST ORGANIC BURGER in town - blows The Cardinal out of the water (that place is over priced and they've messed up my order EVERY TIME - won't go back to pay for overpriced "Gamekeeper-esque" food - game meat is overpriced and as someone who has hunted and prepared elk, antelope and other wild game all my life - their versions don't taste like real wild game and you're paying through the nose for novelty that isn't genuine).LOVE GALILEO'S! Really great bar food. Menu is great. My husband rated their burger among his favorites. I had the grilled cheese and tomato goat cheese soup. Only negative was it was a tad greasy for my taste but it's perfect for the younger crowd. Overall great place. More...

Great service and the burgers were good. They had a great deal...$6 for a burger and a beer or a glass of wine. The salad was a little small for an entree but with the wine vinaigrette it was really good.  We do not recommend the fried mozerella stocks or the fried avocado.  They do have board games so our family played while we ate and waited. Great family time with a 12 and 16 ur old! Recommend!!!!! More...

Oh my, if I was 20 years younger! What a cool hangout! Food is awesome ! Beer selection is awesome! We came in here at 4:30, it's now 8:06, we're still here, had a couple appitizers, went downstairs to play some pool, came back upstairs, ate a Buffalo Chicken wrap with hand cut thick fries, a couple more beers at the bar , we are now officially full, happy, (and buzzed), ready to party on Garth! The food is awesome , the staff is awesome. We had a really good time, this is a must visit when in  Boone. More...

When you enter, the aroma of great food cooking welcomes you to this smaller pub type room. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is casual non pretentious. The black and blue burger was cooked to perfection. The seasoning was exactly as described and the spinach was a very nice substitute for the usual lettuce. The sweet potato fries were crisp and delicious. The only thing I would have enjoyed was some curried mayo for dipping. I would order that again! More...

As we were passing through Boone we decided to stop for some food. This place is just on the out skirts of the strip. The meatloaf was so wonderful! I was jealous that my fiancé ordered it and i didn't. Not to say that my burger wasn't delicious! The waitress was great. Although it was chilly outside we had our pup with us so we had to sit outside. The waitress accommodated us wonderfully by moving the table in chair around the side of the building so we could sit in the sun. All together, great food, great service, great location. I'll definitely be back if we are ever driving through Boone! More...
