I found Marc on one of the wedding sites when my wife and I were looking for a photographer.  Marc made us feel comfortable in working with him and his team. He was always available whenever we had questions, even though he was always booked every weekend doing a photo shoot for another wedding.When the big day came Marc and his team was on time and began doing his thing  and making sure that the bride did not have to worry about everything. One thing that was amazed me was how comfortable he was with handling a huge Chinese family and getting everyone ready for family photos.  I would definitely recommend Marc to anyone that needs a photographer for a wedding or any type of photo shoot. We were so lucky to have found Marc and Gia for our civil ceremony/wedding photographer! My husband and I wanted a simple City Hall ceremony for our family, and while we had many great referrals for a "full" wedding photographer, we didn't want to spend a crazy amount without compromising quality. I was lucky to have found Gala via a Google search, and Marc quickly got in touch with me once I emailed him. Communication was spotless throughout the months leading up to our ceremony, and I loved and appreciated that Marc called me prior to get an idea of what kind of style we wanted, and what our personalities were like. It's these kind of gestures that shows that Marc and Gia really care about their clients, rather than a simple business transaction.Aside from amazing photography, Marc and Gia were an absolute lifesaver during our ceremony. I had done my research on the typical process at City Hall, but we ran into some unexpected delays and Marc and Gia were extremely helpful in guiding us around and making sure we got to the right office at City Hall and signed the right documents. Because they have photographed so many sessions at City Hall, Marc was also able to help us ask the judge for a more private area for our ceremony so that the elderly grandparents could sit down instead of stand around. Although our session was supposed to be for 2 hours, combined with the waiting time and getting signed in, Marc & Gia actually ended up spending around 4 hours with us at City Hall.Once we were done with our session, we were planning to take an Uber back home. When Marc & Gia found out, they very kindly drove us back home since they happened to be heading in the same direction. We got our edited photos (400+!) back within 2 weeks after the ceremony despite Marc & Gia being very busy with other weddings and Labor Day, which we were gladly expecting to wait up to a month.In addition to photography, Marc and Gia also does videography services. I almost wish we had done a full-blown wedding so that we could've used their services for every aspect of our wedding! They are such great people, and made our entire civil ceremony so easy and enjoyable. Marc and his team was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Professional, efficient, friendly and, most importantly, took the most fabulous photographs of our wedding, in challenging weather conditions (! ) getting soaking wet in the process.

From the moment we first had contact with Marc we knew he would be the perfect photographer for our big day. We had researched his work online and after seeing his Instagram and website pictures, we completely fell in love with his natural style of photography and ability to capture the beauty in a moment.

On the day of our wedding, he even showed up earlier than planned so that he could snap some getting ready photos which turned out to be some of our favourite pictures from the day! Its hard to put in to words how blown away we were by his work on our big day. There were so many incredible and special moments that he managed to capture so perfectly, and so naturally, which is just what we were looking for.

We lost count of all the guests who commented on how amazing he was. He was able to direct the group photos without being intrusive or overbearing and throughout the day he blended in to the scene perfectly. I spent a long time researching wedding photographers in my area and was hit hard by their work, they automatically went to the top of my list and we are so happy that they could shoot our wedding. After having the opportunity to meet, it was clear how their personality and passion matched their talent, these guys are a force!

On our big day Gia and Marc were focused, professional and attentive behind the lens and so much fun during all the bits in between. Group shots were super smooth and efficient, then individual shots with my wife were just a blast. Through out the course of day Gia and Marc continued to bring a thirst and enthusiasm for capturing our wedding and what made that day so special for us, I know those images will be personal and we cant wait to see them.

Photography was a big part of the day for us and having the talent and personality of Gia and Marc entrusted with that responsibility was a dream.

I cannot begin to express how wonderful our experience was with Marc and Gia. Not only were the photos beautiful, but they were such a joy to work with from our engagement shoot to the wedding and even afterwards. They took time to get to know us as people, not just as clients. We felt cared about, prioritized, and part of the photography process. In preparation for our engagement shoot, Gia asked if we had any special ideas of what we’d like to do for the shoot. She gave a few ideas but emphasized that it should be something reflective of who we are as a couple. We ended up doing a really exciting shoot at the beach and it was so much fun! Marc is great at helping people loosen up and have fun in front of the camera! My husband and I joke about our engagement shoot - Marc coaching us on how to relax a bit…we had a great laugh and Marc actually snuck in a shot of this happening! He quickly became well-known by our wedding party as the gumby-legged photographer who would get into any ninja position to get the best shot. One of the most special aspects of Marc’s photography is that it doesn’t just capture the moments from your wedding day. It also captures the feelings in those moments. When my husband and I were looking at photographers’ portfolios, what stood out to us with Marc’s was that he didn’t just take hundreds of pictures of the bride and groom. He caught the little moments, things that probably nobody else noticed. Gia captured all the fun and non posed moments. We love candids and she not only took candids but moments that still bring me to tears. My dad doing a little funky dance by himself, my husband’s best friend whispering something in his ear, my sister spraying medicine in my throat (since I lost my voice that morning). Silly little details that don’t seem significant at all, but in looking back helps remember how special that day felt. We have stunning portrait photos from the wedding, but more importantly we also have hundreds of photos of our family and friends. I didn’t realize until it happened, but your wedding day is surreal, because there’s no other time when all of the most important people in your life are in the same place at the same time. I am writing this review because I feel like everyone should know how amazing the Gala Photo and Films is! From the day we hired them, they were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We had a long day and they were able to accommodate with hours without any hesitation. They are budget friendly and their work is phenomenal. We hot sneak peek right after the wedding and waiting for our beautiful highlight video coming soon!
We had over 200 guests and you can imagine how our group photos would be like. They took the lead and they managed to get the group photos perfectly. If you want your wedding day to go smooth and run on time, hire them. We didnt have a wedding planner, but they managed to draw us a timeline that we were able to squeeze in everything.

We decided to get married at San Francisco City Hall, and had many different rates from photographers. Some were very expensive, which to us defeated the purpose of having a simple ceremony at City Hall. I was very excited to have found Marc & Gia at GALA Photo & Films because not only was their photography beautiful, but they offered such an affordable rate compared to other photographers that I had received quotes from. From the beginning, their communication was spot-on and I appreciated that I could call or text with any questions and get a response almost immediately.

The other unexpected highlight of GALA is that they had done so many City Hall weddings that not only did they know the best locations for beautiful photos, but they were so well-versed in the entire process that they helped walk us through from beginning to end. Without their expertise, we would've gotten very lost as the entire process was more complicated than we had expected.

Despite the busy wedding season, Gia was able to send me our finalized photos (over 400+!) less than 2 weeks after the wedding. I could not recommend GALA Photo & Films enough, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer! More...

I can't express enough how much we appreciated Galaphotoandfilms to document our big day. From booking them 1.5 years in advance, to taking our engagement photos, we knew we made the best decision to go with them. They are meticulous in every photo shoot, sometimes even picky for us than we were! They know how to handle big families when it came to taking pictures with every family group. They also helped me relax on my wedding day and I never once felt stressed. They were the unspoken "day-of-coordinator" to ensure that they got every special moment I had with my husband on camera. Let me tell you how amazing these people are!
My fiance and I interviewed 12 photographers until we found Marc! He was very responsive throughout the hiring process and until the last day. Marc & Gia managed the whole wedding and were extremely patient with my family. I had over 250 people at our wedding and they were able to manage each group photo without any frustration. I know it is not easy to get 20 people lined up for photos but thank God, Marc was easily able to perform the best!
We are anxiously waiting for our final edited photos and videos and I know they are going to look gorgeous since we have seen the sneak peek photos.

Galaphotoandfilms was hands down the best decision we ever made for our wedding amongst our other vendors. From booking them a year and a half ago, they have treated us like family. Every question I had, every anxiety I had leading up to the wedding, they were there to calm me down. It was amazing that they also handled the events we had for our wedding. We never had to worry about time of events. They easily accommodated to our needs that day.
On a personal note, Marc and his team came through last minute to document my best friends’ wedding as she didn’t have that much longer left to live. He was patient with the family as he was with ours. He and his team did everything to ensure they captured the best shots.

From the beginning, Marc was amazing. He felt more like a friend than a vendor. I used them for our wedding, video and photos. The pictures came out perfect. The ONLY thing I wish we did was took pictures with our parents. We missed that part because everything was so rushed since we started late and people were hungry. Marc was amazing!! We found him online and hiring him was one of our best wedding decisions. He's so patient and passionate about his work. We had in person and telephone meetings to make sure we were always on the same page. He did our engagement photos and our wedding pictures. All of the photos are beautiful and our friends and family agreed. On the day of the wedding, Marc arrived on time and had a brief meeting with me about what I wanted for the day and his thoughts and ideas on capturing the best photos. I dont know why we waited until last minute to hire our photographer and videographer. That being said, I also do not know how I got extremely lucky to find them!
I requested a quote and received an answer like after 15 mins. We spoke with Marc and he was very patient with all the questions we had. We got the package which offered complementary engagement photoshoot. The price was very reasonable and there were no hidden fees.
In the wedding day, Marc brought his team and they did a fantastic job and our family loved how professional they were.
We got our sneak peek photos like after 2 days and we were thrilled with super epic photos.
They are not just professional photographers, they also care about your big day and they want to make sure your wedding day goes as smooth as possible.

I found him on yelp 7 months before my wedding, and was stunned by the amazing reviews he got. Let me just say he deserves all of those 5-star reviews. He replied immediately when I reached out to him on yelp, and quoted me an incredible price for an 8-hour package. When I asked if he could customize the package to an 10-hour one, he came up with one fast. We had a chat over the phone, and his attitude was just so thorough and kind. My husband and I knew right from that phone call that we wanted him as our photographer. Fast forward to two months before the wedding. We wanted to take pre-ceremony pictures at San Francisco's city hall, but our ceremony was being held in Gilroy, so doing both in the same day would be incredibly stressful, if not impossible. In a panic, we emailed him and asked if there was any way we could split our pre-ceremony pictures to a different day (3 hours one day, 7 hours the other), and to our surprise and gratefulness, Marc made it happen! With no extra charge or anything! This is during a time where I know he must be busy, because our wedding was smack in the middle of Christmas and New Years. Throughout the pre-ceremony and day of wedding picture taking, he was just so flexible, and got along with all of our guests (even my hard to please parents). He was respectful, but at the same time made sure that my husband's and my wishes were met first (I didn't want too many phone photographers taking up too much time, and he managed to convey that perfectly to them so that I didn't have to be such a bridezilla). He and Gia were perfect for our wedding. They sent us our preview photos within 2 days! I was not expecting that at all, but was so grateful. I cannot recommend Gala photos enough. Marc and his team recently photographed my sisters wedding. We received the edits over the weekend and I can’t stop smiling! We love the photos and everything about them. Marc and his team were amazing to work with and we would absolutely use them again. We received so many compliments from our friends and family about our photographers and how thorough they were at taking photos of everything and everyone. Marc was friendly, responsive, and overall great to work with throughout. We don't live in San Francisco . . so I looked hard and long for a well-reviewed photographer. I narrowed it down to Gala and set everything up through emails.
We were nervous because it was our wedding and we only had one shot. If Gala didn't show up or work out then (well you know).
Gala (Marc and his colleague) were right on time. They explained everything, put us at ease and were with us for the entire City Hall wedding journey. They guided and prompted us just how to pose, where to shoot and made it fun.
They even drove us to a beautiful nearby cafe for additional photos. They were sooooo enthusiastic.

Incredibly amazing service and the best photographers! The quality of my wedding photos were beyond crispy and sharp! Marc gave us extra edited photos as well. I didn't have an event planner but luckily Marc and his team helped me and my husband throughout the night for making sure everything goes well and smooth. We also got the photos way before the agreed date. We got way more edited photos than original agreement.

If you have read wedding blogs as much as I have, you know the photographer is the most important decision you will make for your wedding; and it's absolutely true!
I was so nervous picking a photographer since I live in San Diego but the wedding was in San Francisco. I didn't have time to meet a photographer in person so I had to go off emails and phone interviews. After the sixth or seventh interview, I felt hopeless. Then I found Marc and Gala Photo and Films online and thought I would give them a try. After talking to him, he was so reassuring that he could provide us what we wanted at an AMAZING price. I told my now husband about all the choices for photographers and after weeks of corresponding with all of them he also thought they were the best choice. They were extremely prompt with responses for any questions we had and they recorded all of the photos we sent as suggestions.
Two days before the wedding we arrived in San Francisco and our first order of business was to meet Marc and his team. We talked for hours on our timeframe for the day, how many photographers were at each location, and Marc had a million ideas that were extremely creative. After everything they had to say I was 100% confident in the choice we made to use them.
The day of the wedding they showed up a little early to set up all the lights and make sure they didn't miss any shots of the bridal party getting ready. They also coordinated with my hair and make up artist to make sure we were keeping on the right time schedule and that my make up would be perfect for the pictures.
The whole day someone was making sure they got the shots we specifically asked for and more! We had three photographers and one videographer cover our wedding and I never even noticed them during the ceremony! It was amazing.

So many great things to say about Marc and his team! Marc was very accommodating. He came and met my fiancé, now husband and explained everything before we went forward with booking with him. I hired these guys to make a video of my dad's surprise birthday party. It was a last minute idea that I had to record the event as part of his birthday gift. I also wanted to save the memories and not have to worry about trying to record guests by myself during the party. I wasn't sure I'd be able to find someone who could do it last minute. Lucky for me, Marc called me back and said they were available. He sent two guys out to do the work and they were extremely professional, on time and very pleasant to work with. They made sure to ask who the most important people were to interview to ensure that I would be happy with the result. I also had a few rounds of edits on the videos to get them just how I wanted. In the end, I received one short video and one longer video that are truly priceless. It's cheesy but many tears were shed watching the videos because what they captured means so much to our family. I sincerely hope I can hire them again because it's so special to have important memories captured on video. If you have an event give them a call and at least get a quote. It was well worth it. I reached out to One Production Haus about 3 months ahead of time for my prom shoot on 5/26/2018. Throughout the entire process, Marc has been a great help! He is not only extremely responsive and easy to work with, he had done his best to meet our limited budget. Although Marc was not one of our actual photographers, Robert did a wonderful job at dealing with 14 overly-excitable teenagers. He was extremely patient and we all had a good time.Marc and his team got our raw pictures to us within a couple days of the shoot and our edited pictures within 2 weeks despite the original estimate of 3-4 weeks. One Production Haus recently shot our wedding and they did a fantastic job. Marc and his team, Gunay and Sal, were timely, professional, and most importantly, fun to work with. Every wedding has hectic moments, and Marc was an absolute pro at handling them - he helped us round up family members waiting for a photo, coordinate our entrance to the reception, and even pulled up videos on how to tie a half windsor knot at the last minute.
