Q&As

The first step in helping a client acheive goals is always helping the client clearly identify their goals before prioritzing them. I provide plenty of resources and information and dont overplan a program to where it isn't adherable. The key is really focusing on making small, yet impactful changes that make them want to continue to change habits on their own. My goal as a trainer is to provide the utmost support, to educate and hod clients accountable in their daily habits that dictate the result.

Balance. If you don't feel good doing it, it's probably not sustainable. The secret is knowing when to push, and knowing when to rest as well as celebrating small victories. The physical pillars are: Flexibility/Mobility, Strength/ Correctives, Cardio, Sleep, and Diet/ Water Intake.

I love being able to educate and share my philosphies with clients. I always say, "my job isn't to hold onto a client forever, my job is to educate and support them in learning how to make it a lifestyle for themselves." I love a challenge of helping someone rehab something that has been inhibiting their daily life and activities, helping them lead as pain-free of a life as possible. I love people and getting to know what makes them "tick". To me, people are puzzles. I find them in pieces and do my best to put them back together. Mostly, I love "the little things", getting to see the excitement when a client accomplishes something meaningful, getting to be a cheerleader for someone that doesn't have a lot of support, getting to help construct a plan to relieve someones pain and it working in their favor!

What inspired me to start my business was a lot of my clients were terrified of COVID. A lot of them were older, dealing with health conditions, didn't feel comfortable going back to the gym. I also felt very supported by my clients. Overtime, a lot of my clients become family, and I couldn't do it without them, and I wouldn't be where I am without them. Also, as someone that's been strength training for about 11 years, I know the gym generally isn't comfortable for most. I've made it my mission to provide this private, luxury service to limit distractions and add another level of comfortability for a client to focus on their program and their goals.

Clients should choose my services because im not just selling weight-loss, the look, or the program. Im offering a different perspective on exercise and lifestyle that isn't the common cookie-cutter approach most trainers champion. I offer companionship in an area most people struggle with, Im offering a sophisticated approach that ensures sustainability and longevity. I believe the key to a fit lifestyle is balance and function; I teach my clients the heavy importance of corrective exercise and recovery tactics to enhance their performance in their personalized strength training programs.
I believe strength training is more than building muscle and looking fit, it’s about translating the principles of our training program into our daily lives that makes it a lifestyle. Helping clients rehab, get stronger, attain and maintain results by educating is the goal.

I can do Facetime or Zoom sessions. I teach people how to maximize results with minimal equipment.

I've minimized the amount of clients I see at once. I've also made sure all equipment is sanitized after each use.

Body Tempering AKA Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) - A tool used to accelerate activity performance and recovery by combating soft tissue restrictions. This strength training preparation technique had been attributed to helping prevent hernias, muscle tears and sprains, tendonitis and to improve performance. This is an advanced method for mobilization that's been proven to break down adhesions more effectively than traditional methods like foam rolling.

For most people, just finding time to get to the gym and exercising can be difficult, let alone planning more time to roll and stretch regularly. Recovery is generally one of the most neglected pillars in someone's fitness regimen (at least from what I've experienced over the years with my clients). If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t have Physical Therapists, Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, etc…

I want to share the “Function Better” approach to educate and promote the benefit of optimizing recovery, through Body Tempering. By enhancing recovery, we can increase strength and performance with a correlated program in place. Because preparation and recovery are highly important for achieving better performance, I want to bring more attention to and build more adherence to these building blocks.

Mobility “work” is often less effective when it isn’t partnered with an appropriate and correlated strength movement to reinforce it. Hitting peak performance by optimizing effective preparation and recovery methods, and acquiring more strength through less movement restriction is the goal. Body Tempering programs will be custom to work with each individual client's personalized Strength Training program or their own training regimen/sport as well as any special considerations (Injuries, surgeries, health conditions). I plan to use Body Tempering as another tool to help my clients strike a balance between fitness and recovery to ultimately Function Better.
