I've been coming to Frizzles since as long as I can remember! I've been seeing Shawna for over 15 years and she knows my hair better than anyone! My kids go here as well and the staff treat us like family.I've also come here to get my wax, manicures, and pedicures. Jennifer is like a sister to me and squeezes me in even if she's booked! Jennifer also has taken time to see my mom who is ill and can't always come to the salon. She is truly a gem and always seems to know the latest styles for my nails! I'm so happy I found this gem! Barbara always does a fantastic job with my hair color. When I moved, I also moved away from my long time hair dresser and didn't think I'd find anyone like her again. Then I met Barbara! She spends time with you, listening to what you want, and is even creative with her colors! I love visiting Barbara and never having to worry about how my hair will look once it's all done. Made an appt for my daughter to get a Deva Cut with Shawna and my daughter cldnt be happier! Shawna contacted me a few day's prior to her appt to prepare for the appt which was super helpful in setting expectations. What I loved was Shawna not only addressed me but also my daughter-who was nervous about getting a haircut. My daughter has 3c/4A hair and ALOT! Shawna went through her curls and gave her the shape she wanted. Shawna asked her how she liked it-gave her tips/tutorial how to do her hair at home and suggestions for products but didn't push any on us. Racquel is a magician when it comes to fashion color!!It has been decades since I did any color to my hair. When I started seeing the sprinkling of gray hair, I knew I needed to look at doing something with it. But I can't do things the 'normal way.' I really wanted hair that reflected my personality -- something unique but polished.I came in my consultation appointment armed with only a half-a-dozen photos and a vague understanding of what I wanted. During the session, Racquel took the time to understand what I wanted to do and explained to me how she would do it.I had a week to mentally prepare.  But I was not prepared for what happened.My hair is naturally dark brown, so she did a full balayage to lift the color from the bottom 3/4 of my hair, then she "painted" my hair with four different colors.  I was scared and skeptical for most of the appointment. In the end, I had no reason to be.When Racquel turned me around to look in the mirror, I fell in LOVE with my hair. I have been coming here for years. They can do anything and everything to your hair down to your toes. What I love most is their honesty. What does that mean? You go in with a picture and say "I want to look like that!" And they will be completely honest about the reality of getting there and what it would cost and how long it would take to get there and if that's even a possibility. She always listens to what I’d like to do and gives me advice on what is best for my hair. It’s comforting to go to someone knowledgeable and honest as well as super friendly and sweet. And her blowouts are the BEST. I used to leave previous salons with wet hair because I hated how they blow dried but Ally’s are amazing and I leave loving it! Great place! I've been coming for over a year now, mostly for color and cut. Based on reading some of the other reviews, I have never had to wait for my appointment. They have always been prompt and ready. I wouldn't mind waiting though since I know the outcome is going to be good. Hair takes time and doesn't always flow like clockwork. Everyone is very welcoming from the moment you walk in the door.I see Ally for all my needs. She keeps me blonde and happy. I'm a licensed hairdresser and was visiting Virginia. I needed a quick hair cut and I am very picky! First stop Frizzles, a salon that I am familiar with that provides 5 star service and . ..hair to perfection! The overall experience is very relaxing and fun. The hair washing station is comfortable and the water is the perfect temperature. My hair cutter, Matt, was very nice and cut my hair well. All the employees seem very professional and it turned out great.   My only issue is the price. I got a trim, about an inch or an inch and a half and the total was around $80. Absolutely talented team!! I came into the salon as a new client in need of specific color and styling for a Bikini Competition! Sami and his team certainly delivered! Niaz is absolutely amazing! She followed the pictures exactly that I brought in the first time. And since then, has gotten to know me and my hair so well. Now I barely describe what I am looking for and trust her expertise completely, leaving my hair in her hands to help me make decisions. She always comes up with the coolest designs for my undercut. And has helped me grow my short bob out to a style that suits me and my low maintenance needs. She recommends products when I ask. FIVE STARS. I WISH I COULD GIVE SIX!!I booked an appointment with Frizzles after my initial appointment with another hairdresser fell through and let me tell you - things happen for a reason! From the moment I walked in the door it was such a wonderful experience. Everyone asked how I was doing, everyone asked what I was getting done, and even during the process it felt like everyone was cheering me on! I'm really impressed with the atmosphere that Frizzles creates!!My stylist was Julian and he was absolutely amazing! I was looking to take my 3c natural hair from dark brown to blonde for the summer and its the first time I ever dyed my hair professionally. Not an easy task! Julian was fun, upbeat, super professional and really listened to what I wanted. It felt like he was genuinely excited about my hair goals. I last minute decided I wanted to get my hair done so I called Frizzles early Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment for 3 pm same day! I was scheduled with Racquel and honestly she did an incredible job. I have dark brown hair and told her I wanted to go as blonde as my natural color would allow in one session (with baylayage) and she was able to actually make me blonde! I also got my hair cut and styled. I am always looking for a fresh style but really have no clue what to do when it comes to hair. I told her what look I was going for and she offered me suggestions based on the shape of my face and the style turned out beautiful!! On top of all of this the salon closed at 6 and Racquel stayed until at least 6:30 to finish my session and did not rush through it at all. I am so grateful for her input as well as the time she dedicated to me! Note - I only get my hair done like this once a year (if that) so when it's time to get it done I want to make sure that its worth it. I spent forever reading reviews for different salons and as always there are plenty of conflicting reviews which is why I decided to do it all last minute. I’ve been going to Frizzles for almost a decade and I constantly refer people here. Ally does my cut and color and she’s amazing! I’ve never left unhappy and she’s a master at what she does. I have no complaints.   Staff has always been friendly, place very clean, and appointments always on time.  How my hair is done is what makes me come back. And that is Elie.  His experience shows.   He really knows color, hair texture.  Knows what works for you and what doesn't. Got a great hair cut and balayage here! It was a little pricy ($250 not including tip) but I've found that's typical for the area. My appointment started 45 minutes late because of a customer in front of me but the owner was so great and gave me a free product for it! I really appreciated the time they took on my hair. I've been here a few times and Matt has been by far the most professional and respectful stylist I've been to. Many of other places will dismiss what you say or are just plain unprofessional. He spends the time to talk to me about my cut and what I like; he's very considerate and respectful. He noticed I was rather quiet the first time he cut my hair and he went out of his way to be engaging in a polite way and get me talking, which I appreciated, as I'm a very shy person.As I've learned in my years on earth, hair stylists can only go as far as your direction, and Matt was kind enough to listen to me when I tried to explain my cut and the kind of style I was looking for.I love Frizzles and I'll always support this salon. I found Frizzles during a frantic online search after an unfortunate botched color job at my regular salon that left me with hot (pink) roots and multi colored hair. I emailed them the morning after and included pictures of my clown horror hair, asking if they had anyone who could do color correction. Within an hour I got a response that they could help me and set me up with Sami, who is one of the partners.  I was nervous about going in but Sami was super nice to me and told me my hair could be fixed in two ways; with additional color which would get it to 80% blended or by stripping and re-coloring it. I opted for the first choice and was given some color options with Sami's recommendation, which I went with.  To my great relief, the color came out perfect. Sami asked me if I was ok with the cut I had or if I'd like a clean up. I let him clean it up and ended up with a much more refined style. My takeaway is that when it comes to hair you get what you pay for.   I'm upgrading my salon; Sami and his team saved my hair and have earned my loyalty. More...

Very happy with my Deva Cut by Dawn. I've read horror stories about how the Deva Cut isn't worth it (being too costly, Deva Cut techniques not being used). Dawn seemed to be very busy and I maybe would have had more attention if she weren't, but I was pleased with my cut and the cost despite that. I might even have to make the traffic-filled trek back to Springfield for my next cut at Frizzles More...
