I wish Yelp had half stars because I'd probably make this 3.5, but rounding up to 4!Our server was excellent! She was really nice and made great suggestions. We ordered pitchers of mojitos and outside of being a little light on lime, they were excellent! Plenty of fresh mint.For the rest, it was okay. We ordered the nachos and it was bagged shredded cheese that wasn't even sort of melted, and the tiniest amount of sour cream and guac. The vegetarian option of my veggie sandwich was good, but definitely needed a sauce and pretty bad. My husband's sandwich (beef of some sort, should have paid attention) was in the same boat. He asked for a sauce of some sort and they brought Choulula. The yuca frites were good, but like $5 for only 4 or so. It's in a strip mall so ambience isn't quite there for the pricing, but ya know. Fast fresh and full of wonderful cuban flavors! I ordered the chicken Cuban sandwich but they gave me the steak sandwich as seen in the pictures .  I also ordered chicken empanadas and the stuffed potato ball thing (sorry i forgot the name). Then i walked over and noticed that they had fresh pastries!!! I had to try just one! I chose the cheese. There's always that one person who seems to not like what everyone else raves about. I expect to really enjoy a meal out, so when I don't, I feel that I need to objectively point out why. I don't want to be a spoiler or throw shade unfairly. I'm just going to give an honest review of my experience.I didn't love it. We were excited to try it, as we miss Pollo Tropical and saw some similar item on the menu. We started with maduros and yuca frita. I don't like maduros but my wife does and she said they were good. The yuca fries were also good, but 4 pieces for 5 dollars isn't a good value in my opinion. The yuca also needs to come with salsa of some kind. These had a scant drizzle of garlic sauce. It needs more.The entrees...I tried the Cuban burger. She had the ropa vieja. The ropa vieja is shredded pot roast in a criolla sauce. The meat was flavorful and a good portion but nothing special. The black beans that came with it are nice but nothing special. The tostones we're big...needed to be crispier. The were on the plate being soaked in the ropa vieja juice and got mushy. So while the flavor was good the plating needed improvement. So a decent entree but nothing special. My wife is central American so she knows what to expect from this kind of food. She said it was "ok". I thought it a bit better than that.The Cuban burger was not good at all. The burger was under seasoned and quite dry surprisingly. It was supposed to come with ham and pulled pork. The amount of pulled pork on it was laughable. Maybe a teaspoon of it. The onions were dried out and tough. The ham was lunch meat. There was "swiss" cheese on it as well...basically white American cheese. I was really disappointed in it. Dry, lacked flavor, below average. Fries were decent. Hot and crispy. The burger was 15 dollars which is what angers me about it. What I got for that price was unacceptable.For dessert we had two guava turnovers. They were nice. Nothing special. They were not home made...probably a frozen item cooked in store.All in all nearly 60 dollars with tip. We agreed that we would not go back. Cheers to all who loved their food. We did not. More...

Was excited to try this place for a Cuban/Miami themed New Years lunch. The staff was extremely kind and accommodating. The food smelled incredible. Then I opened the boxes and the receipt. Asked for a few extra pickles on the sandwich. Was given 2 tiny sauce cups of pickles for $4 extra. The Cuban sandwiches do not come with black beans/rice as a side option for some reason. Only an add on. Annoying but whatever. The rice was $5 and you got about 2oz of rice. The black beans were good. We got a chicken and beef empanada and they were good too. The Cuban sandwich however was not very good. No flavor and very dry. There's non Cuban places all over Nashville with much better Cuban sandwich options. We each discarded the 2nd half of the sandwich. I was pretty disappointed but more so at all the up charges that weren't clearly mentioned on the phone, specifically the pickles. 2 Cubans, 2 black beans and rice and 2 empanadas shouldn't be $50 before tip. But it was. No chance I'd ever do that again. Wish them luck as I absolutely love Cuban food but this was pretty disappointing. Found this place on accident, every other place had a wait of an hour. Drove by and saw only a few people inside and decided to give it a try. So glad we did!!This is a must try place! Fresh Bite is so delicious! I love Cuban food, and this place tastes and feels so authentic. My husband and I love to go here for dinner, and try new dishes each time. We shared the sampler 305 as an appetizer, and it was delicious. I had the Cuban combo for my main, which was ropa vieja and lechon asado. The sangria was really flavorful and tasty as well. This place is just awesome. Local and authentic. We had the sampler appetizer which was nice getting to try many things. They were all excellent but the chicken empanada was our favorite. Wow. Im really not even sure what to say. I crave restaurants like this that serve quality, authentic food. The service was great, the food was hot and extremely fresh. Since discovering this place I've returned several times and each time it has been a great experience. The food is fresh and delicious and the service is fast and courteous. Going in I knew nothing about authentic Cuban food so on my first visit I played it safe and ordered the Cuban sandwich and sweet plantains and wow- it truly knocked my socks off. I've had countless other Cuban sandwiches throughout my life, but this is the only one that matters- yes it was that good. The sampler platter of croquets, empanadas and tamales is super good if you aren't sure what to try, it's a nice little tasting of a lot of dishes at a reasonable price. Most recently I've branchd out and at the recommendation of my server tried the Ropa Vieja and Lechon Asado dishes  and both of them were deeply satisfying and left me wanting to scrape every bit off my plate. decided to try since the reopen. not impressed. the restaurant was very clean but the food was subpar. I ordered online and picked up for togo and when I got home some of my order was missing as well. I wasn't even mad about it since the food wasn't good anyway. I ordered 2 of the sandwichs and 2 orders of 2 empanada's. one of the empanada sets was left out completely and the best thing about the sandwich was the bread. the other ingredients were bland. my French fries were not cooked all the way. it was a sad experience all around. will not be back.
