We were in Camden for a few nights and had dinner both nights at Fresh Co. GREAT restaurant!! Highly recommend. The lobster ravioli, pork chop rib and lobster corn dog were excellent!!

Best restaurant in Camden. We liked it so much we had dinner there two of the three nights we were in town. Lobster Ravioli was excellent, and the pork chop was amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Such a cute little place! The food is AMAZING too! They have a small menu which is always a good sign. They’re gluten-free friendly which I had been looking for during our vacation. Fresh and Co is a trendy restaurant with great decor and beautifully plated food, and most of that food is great! My brother and I shared the steamed pork buns and the Mexican fried chicken. The Mexican fried chicken was good, the steamed pork buns were not very good -- overly salted pork and mushy bread. My mother and our family friend shared the daily special, a duck ramen which was good except the ramen tasted a bit like instant noodles, a lobster corn dog -- my mom's new favorite thing, and the Thai coconut soup which they both really liked. The meal we had at Fresh was exquisite! The beet wedge salad was light and delicious.  I had the lobster ravioli which was unlike any other! With an Asian twist....the seared stuffed ravioli with a sweet chili, spicy sauce accompanied by more fresh lobster meat and veggies! I hadn't been to Camden for a long time for more than just a "passing through" look to the left and right of Rte. 1, so I really don't know much about the restaurants in this beautiful midcoast gem of a city.  When my Ellsworth friend and I wanted a "meet in the middle" dinner out, I did a google search of "restaurants in Camden" and gave her a few choices of those that had good reviews.  She chose Fresh and Co, which was my second choice, so we headed to the waterfront.  The restaurant is quite beautiful outside and in, even in the dark.  It was very classy-looking, clean and had very interesting and pleasing decor.We were greeted promptly, and the hostess introduced us to our very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive server, Anna.  Anna offered us a special cocktail, Bubbles, which was a sparking white wine with rose water and St. Germain, with an orange peel twist.  I opted for the Chocolate Bourbon.  My cocktail was good, but the Bubbles was really special - light and floral, very "feminine," and fragrant.  I ended up ordering one for myself later in the meal.I was pleased to see the gluten-free and vegetarian meals noted on the menu.  We opted to split the appetizer special, which was Oysters Rockefeller.  I'm not a fan of oysters, as a rule, but the description sounded so good that I couldn't say no.  WOW, I'm so glad I said yes!  This was one of the richest, most flavorful and delicious foods I have ever tasted.  They smelled heavenly and tasted SO so good that I was a bit disappointed that we decided to share. I wanted to save some room for dessert so I ordered the toasted Brussels sprouts salad as my meal, and my friend had the mushroom and leek porridge, which if you're wondering was somewhat like a risotto with lots of sauteed vegetables.  I didn't try the porridge, since I'm gluten-intolerant (my friend said it was delicious), but my sprout salad was really yummy.  I would have loved a bit more spinach and a bit less balsamic, but I enjoyed it very much.We were having trouble deciding on dessert, so we ordered two and shared the flourless chocolate torte with candied orange peel (it was really very much like a very thick and sweet marmalade) and the vanilla mascarpone cheesecake with gingerbread crust.  Each was very good in its own way, but I have to say that they weren't especially memorable.  Maybe the oysters just ruined my expectations for the rest of the meal.There are so many wonderful places to eat and explore in Camden that it's sometimes hard to decide where to go.  If you don't mind spending a little more, give Fresh and Co a try.  Who knows, you might be lucky enough to have those incredible oysters as an option. I ate at Fresh & Co 2Xs last February while in town for the Banff film festival & toboggan championships. The restaurant was quaint, the service was on point, & the food was phenomenal (particularly given the price point). The pork dish was out of this world delicious with the fried eggplant being the total sleeper hit. I hope they’re open again come February because I’m looking forward to another amazing meal. Food was phenomenal (and I dont say that lightly). Almost didnt go because menu was less traditional and more global (as name implied). So glad we did not miss this opportunity. I love salmon so went "out on the wild side" and tried the lemongrass poached salmon. It was served with a rice noodle salad that was awesome. My husband got the ahi tuna special and was equally pleased. Super fresh food. Healthy and just amazing blend of flavors. Chocolate tarte for desert was also amazing. This is my favorite restaurant in Midcoast Maine (and I live here). I love the Mediterranean menu and they are true to their name - everything is fresh! The servers are very informed about the menu and wine pairings. And I'm always pleased that no matter how busy they get, it's never overbearingly noisy. It's a place to have great food and conversation. Also, they are able to offer items for so many dietary restrictions, and happy to make modifications for a customer's particular preferences. Surprising find in a smaller touristy town like Camden. Overall Camden was a pleasant surprise and well worth a visit. Fresh and Co has a diverse and interesting menu without being pretentious about it all. If you are familiar with world cuisines and like to actually enjoy what you eat - then you won't be disappointed here. If you shy away from foods that you can't get at Applebee's then this will be out of your comfort zone. We found the menu interesting enough to return a second time during our week stay in Camden.
