We've been to this place before and I don't know why i haven't written a review just yet. To start, their prices are incredible and their portions are awesome. They sell some bomb burritos for $1.75. They're really good. Im seriously writing this review because of their spicy chicken torta. The bread was soft and crunchy at the same time. The flavor of the chicken is just magnificent. Okay so this place has some of the best chilaquiles I've had from a restaurant/fast food place. I can't say that I've ever had some that were better than my moms but this place is a CLOSE second. Their shrimp burrito was also AMAZING and HUGE. It could've been split into two meals. My boyfriend loved it (and so did I because I can never keep my hands on my own plate lol). The employees there have also always been very helpful, kind, and patient. I would initially give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the atmosphere isn't always the best. If you go in at night, you may run into a homeless person or two wandering around making you a tad uneasy. Came here while I had some family visiting the west coast so I wanted to show them some authentic Mexican tacos. This was my first time at Fresco myself so I was hoping for the best as I've had many fantastic taco places in SoCal already. The restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered a couple of each taco that was being offered to try a little bit of everything. Some meats (especially the asada) were amazing while a couple others were just good, but nothing special either. Shrimp cocktail is soooooo good! I would've take a picture but it was so delicious that I completely forgot. I like the easy ordering on the app! Definitely a plus. Shrimp was good & the cucumbers were very fresh & crisp. I love that they chop up the avocado into cubes & they genuinely put a lot instead of other places slicing them & put them on top making it seem like it's a lot when it's not. Truly a hidden jem. The tacos at this spot are so good. The meat is done right and they have all the choices. Large menu with very fare prices. We really enjoy eating at Taco Fresco on Columbus St after Church on Sundays. Great food! We LOVE the chips and salsa and think it’s awesome how if you check in on Facebook you get free chips & salsa! One complaint is they definitely need to play Mexican style music in the restaurant. Every time we eat there they have girls pop music playing and it doesn’t fit with the atmosphere. Mexican style restaurants need Mexican style music playing, it helps the atmosphere. I've had the enchiladas and the shrimp taco combo and let me just say it was delicious. I have also had the freshly all natural squeeze orange juice and OMG the best orange juice I've had by far. It was teacher appreciation day today at Fresco Mexican Grill so we decided to try it!  We had a few different choices to choose from, but we decided to get the Chicken Fajita Burrito.  It was so fresh and good.  Another thing I really enjoy is when a Mexican restaurant knows how to slice radishes.  I know weird, but I'm so used to how my suegra slices them and they know how to do it!  Their salsa bar is legit too!  It is kept cold like it should be and everything is so fresh!  They were super nice and we love when we are appreciated!  We appreciate you as well Fresco Mexican Grill especially in August when most teachers don't get paid.  We will definitely be back! This place has the BEST FOOD!! If you're looking for good Mexican fast food, this IS the spot. For being a chain, this place is pretty cool.  Awesome salsa bar, nice menu and fast service.  I came in at 6 in the morning for a breakfast burrito.  The place was very clean and ready to go.  I went with the chorizo breakfast burrito, and it was tasty.  It had bean, potato, chorizo and egg, and I added cheese.  I really liked their red hot sauce.  They have 2 red sauces available.  The one that is reddish-brown is their Chile hot sauce, and that's the one I like.  They do have a mild red and a green as well.  They reminded me of Green Burrito when they first started out almost 30 years ago, before they sold out to Carl's Jr.  I popped back in for a breakfast burrito again about 2 weeks ago.  It was solid again.  Definitely a fan and will stop in anytime I'm in Bakersfield.
