I've read a few negative reviews regarding this restaurant and my experience couldn't have been better. The owner was manning the counter when my wife and I arrived and he couldn't have been nicer. I ordered a doble burger (the owner was honest and told me the patties were thin) so I figured double would be best and my wife ordered a chicken gyro. Our food was made to order and was delicious! I could certainly tell the quality of the fresh meat. I read a review that said the meat was "stringy" and I think that person doesn't know that fresh meat looks like because most people are use to frozen patties. Chicken gyro was very good and I even enjoyed the music selection. I'm so glad I tried this place and will definitely return. Prices were reasonable and fried were fresh cut. A local favorite! If you’re in the area and craving a great Chicago-style hot dog or burger, this is the place to go. The cooks and cashiers are always friendly and the tone of the place is just really good. Comfortable. You can tell that the owner cares about the place. Nick of Frank's Original makes real deal smash burgers! Fresh never frozen ground beef, 80/20 blend, 2 3 oz patty's, smashed on a seasoned griddle, toasted bun, and american cheese. Nick's smash burger was so tasty I think I finished it in under .30 seconds!! I dig that he uses a seasoning from a local company for his burgers! Nick uses Vienna Beef hot dogs and they are off the chain!! His fresh cut fries are a must order! If you find yourself hungry in Lake Geneva, WI., make sure you stop by and say hi to Nick and order his smash burger, A hot dog and the fresh cut fries!
