Great to expose children to art of all types. Great to have such a big city level museum in Fort Wayne.

We picked a rainy day to visit the Museum of Art and fortunately free parking was nearby. Free lockers (with key) are available to stow your coats and umbrellas. We started our tour with the landscape glass sculptures and the display cases of brilliant cut glass. From there we were awed by the talent of middle school/high school students who were 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Award winners. The depth, feeling, understanding, and creativity of such young students is hard to comprehend. Words can't describe how talented these young people are. More...

This recently expanded museum serves a medium size city very well. The variety of shows along with the regular cyclical exhibits is designed to draw in those who are not normally museum goers, as well as the regulars. The traveling shows that are brought in are worth a visit as is the permanent collection items. More...

I happened to go when they were showcasing student art and it's amazing how talented those kids were. I'm glad I popped in! The museum is small, you probably won't spend more than an hour there, but it's worth the stop. More...

An art museum small enough to get thru in a couple hours while still taking your time to experience the art. Includes a kid focused room. When we were there, a room of local high school art work was on display. This was very interesting and refreshing. More...

Really beautiful exhibits, cleanly and amazingly displayed, with plenty of information on each piece, and pamphlets for each display. The guy at the desk was nice and made sure I knew about the available discounts. Very clean building and the outdoor sculpture area is also lovely. Their website is also very well-done, and any information you could want is very easy to find. They even gave alternative routes taking road construction into account. More...

I made a special two hour trip to see the Robert Williams and Juxtapozed exhibitions which exceeded my expectations. I could have lived in those galleries. Beyond those I only had enough time to see the Sharon and Disabilities exhibits before I ran out of time, but I would say they were worth the admission price alone. Overall a great experience and I would do it again. More...

Lovely museum, in a nice modern building with terrific natural light, and with easy access to Fort Wayne's downtown park. Really enjoyed the current photography show, as well as the ephemera presented as part of the Louis Kahn architecture exhibition . And the admissions pricing is great--especially the flat, $20 family admissions fee. If you're in town, it's worth a visit. More...

Veteran place to stop. Not really for children but it was nice to walk around and listen to my son echo his voice as the other people were enjoying the exhibits. Right next to competitions this year stopped by to kill some time. More...

For a small museum, it's got a great collection. There are always visiting exhibits, too. A membership is the best choice, because you could easily go quite often (they are also part of a reciprocal program with other museums). There are classes, programming for children, and a wonderful shop that sells the work of local artists. More...

Really neat building, didn't experience much of the art since we had a wedding reception of something hundreds of humans but the layout, presentation of deserts, and atmosphere makes for a grand space without the overpriced city feel of many a downtown venue.
