We stayed for our 29th wedding anniversary. The Inn is lovely, staff are welcoming and very accommodating! The Weaver's Cottage is a romantic way to spend a winter evening cuddled by our private fire. Plan to make this our get away destination! More...

This is a charming restaurant. Reservations are recommended. Mt filet was medium as requested but the potatoes au gratin were undercooked and sadly I couldn't eat that portion of my meal. I think it would have been tasty. The beef was delicious. I felt it a bit strange that bread was brought to the table with one lonely pat of butter for two people. When we requested more butter, one more pat was brought. A pat of butter for each dinner is at least adequate but one for two people is silly. More...

Have reviewed several times and ate at Forked again last night with my family, including my 2 year old granddaughter. Why a 5 versus previous 4's? Service was excellent, food for granddaughter was brought out quickly and even provided her a small portion of the Rosetta, which all of the adults sampled and wished they had ordered. My wife and I had a salad and split a pizza. Other entrees for our party were fish of the day and fried chicken. Everyone enjoyed their selection. A milk pie was shared and enjoyed. Food was served at the same time and no plate was taken until all had finished. Excellent food, wonderful service deserves a 5. More...

Stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We were not aware of reservations, but can definitely understand that they would be needed for dinner. The atmosphere was very welcoming, relaxing and charming. Our server was very attentive and informative. All of our food was delicious and freshly prepared. We were also impressed by the fresh rolls made in bakery in back of restaurant. Highly recommend the Bloody Mary. If ever in town again, will definitely revisit. More...

Amazing property! Friendly check in with a glass of bubbles! Room was amazing, big comfy bed and luxurious sheets, fireplace, heated floors in bath and nice outdoor deck. Beautiful dining room and food. Super nice turndown service at night with hot tea and delicious cake! Coffee and beneits (?) in the morning delivered to your room, complimentary, you pick the time. My only recommendation is that they need more lighting at night if you need to walk to the main building. More...

Treated the in-laws to dinner at this quaint downtown restaurant. The only negative comment is their dead flowers in their window boxes outside. The inside was beautifully decorated. We ordered a bottle of Riesling to go with our different entrees. I ordered the peach bbq pork with white beans and ham and a broccoli salad with golden raisins. The smoky flavor of the pork paired with a peach bbq sauce was delicious! But the best treat was the pig boat it was served in! Prices were average and food was very yummy! Highly recommend! More...

I can’t say more positive things about this place. My husband and I spent the weekend here to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary, our first away from our new baby, and the staff made us feel so welcome, relaxed, and special. They printed us a menu to congratulate us on our anniversary, we had an exceptional meal at the Vintage restaurant. In the meantime in our suite, we had an unparalleled turn down service where complimentary champagne, tea and desserts were waiting for us that spelled happy anniversary. We got couples massages and I got a facial at the mill house spa . The service , the professionalism, the details that go into their products, they truly go above and beyond! We will certainly come back! But most of all thank you for creating an ideal experience for us. More...

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in years. The biscuits are to die for, the restaurant is beautiful, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the food is absolutely terrific. My BLT had Dorito-crusted bacon on it, which was honestly an incredible combination! I can't remember the last time I had such a fantastic meal. The prices are also incredibly low, it blew my mind. I live in New York so I'm used to higher prices of course but it was like $10 for an entire meal! Everyone should come here cause y'all are totally missing out on this gem. More...

My husband and I did a weekend getaway for our 37th Anniversary at the Inn at Willow Grove. This place is amazing; as you drive onto the property you are immediately transported to a place of peace and tranquillity. Matt the general manager and owners son welcomed us to the Inn as dear friends; all the staff are terrific ( special thanks to Jonathan and Wednesday)and tend to your every need. We both enjoyed massages at the spa and lunch and dinner (tasting menu) at the on site restaurant Vintage; Chef Kenneth did not disappoint as the meal was creative and delicious. Freshly made beignets and locally roasted French press coffee is delivered to room by your butler which was such an extra special touch and oh so yummy. We will definitely be returning to the Inn at Willow Grove as they truly lived up to their goal to provide an extraordinary experience, allowing their guests to escape, unwind and indulge. Thank you Matt and all the staff at the Inn for making our Anniversary so very special More...

Cute atmosphere with a farm-like feel on Orange's small Main Street.Delicious freshly made cocktails! Had the jalapeño infused marg + the mule. Def likes the marg more.  We started with the lemon ricotta/brown butter gnocchi. Magical! Could've been a meal in and of itself. Very rich, generous portion. For our entree, we shared the pecan crusted mahi with mashed potatoes and southern green beans--it was delish!  And the hot honey chicken...chicken was overly fried and a bit dry to our disappointment. For dessert, we had the milk pie. It could've been more moist (and man I hate that word but typing it is better than saying it), but was an interesting dessert. This is not the restaurant's fault, but Orange has an 8 percent meals tax, which is absurd!!!!!!! That's on top of VA's 5 percent-ish sales tax. More...

My friend and I really enjoyed our dinner at Forked on Main. I ordered the berry mojito, which was delightful. My friend's jalapeño margarita was excellent too. Our favorite menu item was the lemon ricotta gnocchi. It was a shared appetizer, but I wish it was my entree. So good! I ordered the hot honey fried chicken. It was good, but a little dry. For dessert, we had a delicious milk pie. One note: There are only a few restaurants in the tiny town of Orange. It's really unfortunate the town levies a 8 PERCENT meal tax! This place is worth it, but I'd definitely prefer to dine out of town to avoid this tax next time. More...

This is the second time I've been here with group of women friends. We plan to come back when we are in the area again. Everyone loves it and we all highly recommend it.   They brought a variety of freshly made bread to start which was just right.  I think it is different every night.  The restaurant had a special of crab stuffed shrimp that 3 of us got. All said it was delicious. One friend had blackened snapper with bok choy and fingerling potato's and she said all were  delicious.   I had shrimp and grits which I loved and my sister had steak frites, the steak was perfectly blackened and the fries were seasoned just right.  Our waitress was sweet and attentive.  She could not have been better.  This place is great and we will definitely be back. I recommend it highly.Cheers, Amy More...
