What information do you need from a client before you start work?
Fist I would ask if you already have anything that visually represents you or your business already. Do you already have a logo? Is there any imagery (photography) you would like us to use or find for you? Do you have any sketches of an idea? Even if you can't draw, sketches can be a huge help.
Then I, the graphic designer for Forge, would start to sketch myself. How can the story be applied to a logomark, what can the logomark in turn do with the typography. These kinds of decisions are the key to making your brands visual language.
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
We can make any kind of print material. If you need a book, brochure, letterhead, business card or even a sticker, Forge has you covered!
Describe your creative process.
The process begins with the story, From there, your visual brand (identity) writes itself.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to create a visual system is my dream job. Moreover, being able to find something about the clients story and translate it into something visual.
