Looking for a place to get a good breakfast on the weekend, this is your place! The food is fresh and well cooked. I recently tried the Malibu eggs Benedict and keep thinking about them days later. Great little spot off the beaten path! I came here with a friend after we tried relentlessly to find a brunch spot in Portland and failed miserably. I've seen this place before, it shares a half open wall with Mr Bagel, located in a little strip mall off route 1 in falmouth, just before the wal mart. My friend and I were immediately greeted and seated upon entering. It was busy but not crazy, and we didn't have to wait at all, even though it was 930 on a Saturday. The ambience is like your typical breakfast restaurant, and it's hot too loud, you can actually carry a conversation easily here. They have a combo of counter seats, tables, and booths. So something for everyone! And the staff are attentive and super nice too. Very good feel here. My friend and I both ordered mimosas, which for the $6/7 is totally worth it because you get a giant goblet of goodness for the price! My friend got scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast, while I got the California Benedict (which comes with bacon and avocado). We both raved about our respective meals, eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, food was hot, and we had very good sized portions too! The home fries are crisped to perfection. Bernie’s , me and my daughter had breakfast this morning at Bernie’s it was average what was the disappointment for me was they use fresh ingredients in their omelette but one thing they went wrong was using frozen spinach which should’ve been fresh and they put too much spinach. I don’t get to Bernie’s as often as I would like but am so glad that Judy is back! She is wonderful! Bernie’s is clean, nicely decorated, service is great and Bernie’s will do their best to accommodate your needs! I love having breakfast there!

This place makes THE BEST homemade corned beef hash. Corned beef hash is a breakfast staple for me and I've tried it at many different restaurants in the Portland area. 3/4 of the time I'm served Mary Kitchen, but not here. Becky's was my top pick for the longest time, but after trying Bernie's for the other day, I'm completely sold. Good portions is another plus here. Under my toast was more delicious hash. Some of the best diner coffee I've had! Great prices. Awesome servers. Always clean and spots available for small groups or singles. Highly recommend the tuna salad as a melt (tried the chicken once and it wasn't so great). My grandmother and her cousin are regulars, love the way they are treated there! Mr Bagel in Brunswick is the best, especially if you want vegan options. There is a selection of four flavors of tofu cream cheese and they are incredibly yummy. The first time I had the olive one, I went back to make certain it was tofu because I was worried it was dairy, but it was tofu. They make it on-site.
