We go to Food Dance Restaurant on E Michigan Ave, Kalamazoo, MI, quite often, especially Sunday brunch. Comprehensive menu including local farm-to-table specialities. There is always a crowd of cheerful eaters in a roomy and well decorated (Conrad Kaufman) joint with wonderful views of downtown Kalamazoo. We just had an exceptional experience at Food Dance. The service, drinks, and food were fantastic to say the least. We were seated about 7 min past our reservation time. They were very apologetic about this and presented us with a gift card. Now how is that for service above and beyond!?! I wish I new the name of the host, he was so polite and genuine. I will probably not be back to Kalamazoo as we were in town for a concert, but if you have the opportunity GO treat yourself and experience this place. More...

Visited a few days ago and really enjoyed it. 4 in our group and we all ordered something different and shared. We loved everything we tried, which included: feta appetizer, pad Thai, Mac & cheese, BBQ pork sandwich, & the dance circle salad. I also got a cocktail, I think it was called rain dance, that was really good! It had vodka, creme de Violette, lemon, soda... Highly recommend! The service was ok, not great but not bad. Fun restaurant in downtown Kalamazoo. They have a nice, varied menu; several vegetarian options which was great. They also do a great job of sourcing food locally too. We had a party of four on a Saturday evening; they take reservations, which we had, and I'm glad we did...it was busy!
