This place is a must go. Everyone has had a restaurant experience where the workers were not getting along and, no matter how good the food was, the experience was ruined. The flying biscuit was quite the opposite. We decided to sit at the bar for a late brunch and it was a great decision. John was our bar tender and he killed it. He was very accommodating and enjoyable to be around, and even brought us biscuits for our wait. All of the workers were positive and a joy to be around as well. Of course the food was very original and delicious. Great start to the day. More...

What a nice breakfast cafe with a great menu. Come here for the biscuits. They are fluffy, soft and served warm. The menu has a good selection so you can find the breakfast you want. We enjoyed the Running on Empty omelette (3 eggs, chicken sausage, bacon, onions, cheese) and the Don't Pretend (biscuits, eggs, and gravy). We were here on a Monday morning and since it was pretty empty we had really good service by Jade. She was friendly, engaging and easily explained the menu options. Coffee was easily refilled and we left very satisfied. Plenty of parking, and plenty of room inside. We enjoyed Flying Biscuit and look forward to a return visit. More...

12/7 - I literally have no I'll words for this establishment! The food down to the eggs and service was phenomenal. Our server was very attentive and pleasant which man my first time here even greater. Parking was a little tight so call ahead before you go. The menu can be a little rough for indecisive for ppl like me. There were soooo many options! Can't wait to go back ! More...

5 for the service and 3 for the food.  Super nice waitress.  My chicken biscuit  with gravy was tasty but the chicken was fried a little longer than I like.  My husband said his eggs and chicken sausage was okay.  The grits were super creamy, but otherwise nothing memorable. More...

Food and service was great although we did have an issue with one of the coffees the server made it right. The grits was absolutely delicious. I didn't care for the French toast but everything else was delicious. I'll definitely be back. More...

Love this place. The food is solid and the portions are more than adequate. Their chicken & waffles are excellent. The "moon dust" potatoes are perfect! I hate when potatoes are slightly mushy. Theirs never are! Good Bloody Marys, too. French toast is on-point, too. Been there a couple of times and will definitely be back. More...

Great from the moment we walked in. Friendly, helpful staff; bright, inviting decor; and outstanding food. They have "biscuit" in the name for a reason - YUM! Especially with the cranberry-apple butter. We each ordered separately, but we ended up sharing everything because it was all so good and we wanted a taste. Try the Born To Be Wild Bowl and don't miss the Shake It Off Fried Green Tomatoes with cashew-jalapeño relish! Want something to sip with all that delicious? Ask Kim at the bar for a Pumpkin Patch -- you will not be disappointed. Thanks to  Kim, Brooke, and Mark for a great first bite in Charleston. If you're local, you're lucky - Go! More...

I'm from VA but recently moved to Charlotte NC and never have I ever liked grits. Until I ate a bowl at The Flying biscuit. other have the best grits ever. It doesn't stop at the grits.. the have such a huge variety of different items and I can't wait to try theuhhm. Also.. their French is amazing. it's not the normal combination of powdered sugar and maple syrup. It's served with a raspberry sauce and honey crème anglaise! Annnnd... they serve their biscuits with a cranberry apple butter. If you haven't tried the flying biscuit... what are you waiting on. More...

Their biscuits are delicious. Â I enjoyed the "don't pretend" breakfast of biscuit eggs and gravy. Â The biscuit was warm and fluffy and flaky and crispy on the edges. Â The eggs were scrambled just right. Â The chicken sausage gravy was creamy, peppery and just the right amount. Â With a side of "moon dusted" potatoes. Â It's full service, not a stand in line and order at the counter setup. Â Our server was friendly, smiling the whole time. More...

A hotel breakfast option of plastic fake eggs at a huge cost was not going to work for me. Instead, I was in the door at Flying Biscuit minutes after they opened. Whoa! A bartender-Kim-offering me a bloody mary at 7 something AM that sounded GREAT! Except that within minutes, I was about to drive 350 miles home. I didn't want to fall asleep on top of the Cooper River Bridge. Next visit-different story. I ordered scrambled eggs with salmon. What I received was 3 perfectly scrambled and cooked fresh eggs with chunks of delicious salmon. They were the best eggs ever! And, grits like I've never tasted. They were fluffy. Not at all like typical southern dense, heavy, salty grits that congeal as the cool. These were more like eating a creamy dessert...but not sweet. And, a beautiful, light as air buscuit. I'd normally leave biscuits on the plate. Not this one! It was worth the carbs...easy. Try 'em out. And bring a designated driver...or better-take Lyft. More...

Great little find in Mt. Pleasant. Loved the unique options on the menu. I Had the omelette with salmon, cream cheese, & chives & it didn't disappoint. The grits were delicious & staff was super friendly! My only complaint would be the biscuit was way over cooked but the apple butter made up for it. I Will definitely visit there again for breakfast next time I come to Charleston. More...
