What do you love most about your job?
I love that my job allows me to get to know people on a deep and intimate basis is so fulfilling, especially in a world where technology and automation reigns supreme and many relationships never make it past the surface. Whenever a client has an experience of an "aha moment," starts seeing improvements in their mood, or shares that I have impacted their lives in a positive manner, I am certain I am doing what I'm meant to do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
By opening my own practice, I can interact with clients in a more personalized manner and eliminate the bureaucracy and red tape that can create obstacles for those seeking help. Whenever you contact Flux Psychology, you are interacting directly with me--no middle person or administrative staff. Being my own boss allows me to set my own hours and enables me to provide confidential and private care for my clients.
Why should our clients choose you?
There are so many "therapists" in the Denver area and it can be hard to differentiate who is best for you. I am a formally trained doctoral-level clinician who is licensed by the state of Colorado to practice psychology. Because of lax laws in Colorado, many people call themselves a therapist or coach with little to no formal training or credentials. I encourage you to research any therapist's credentials to make sure you are working with someone who knows what they're doing! In addition, I have more than seven years of experience working with young adults looking to make positive changes in their lives. I am personable and relatable and aim to make this process as easy as possible--no blank-faced authoritative doctors here! Because therapy is such a personal decision and experience, it's critical to work with someone with whom you feel comfortable, understood, and who can give you the proper combination of support and challenge. More than 95% of clients who contact me for a free phone consultation decide to work with me consistently and report significant improvements in their situations.
