Let me preface by saying I planned my own wedding out of state (we live in NC), so dealing with professional, knowledgeable, trustworthy vendors was an absolute must!
While researching and quoting florists, I found Flowers by Elliott on Wedding Wire and from the very first phone call with Roseanne we knew we found our florist!
First off, she is just so pleasant to talk to! I talk on the phone all day at work so I always tell friends and family, "Don't call - text it!"...because I hate talking on the phone! But I found myself looking forward to my phone check-ins with Roseanne. All the other florists I previously spoke to sounded so impersonal and commercial-ly but not her! She was invested in our wedding and us...even checking on our well-being after Hurricane Florence. Outside of the phone calls though she was also very communicative via e-mail. Again, if you're planning your own wedding and/or you're planning remotely, it is important for your sanity that your vendors have open lines of communication!
Every bride has a vision of what she wants the flowers on her wedding day to look like. I was no different. Roseanne and I spoke in detail about what I was looking for. She asked questions and she clarified. Then based on her expertise she offered suggestions on how to deliver my vision....and she did!!! Oh my goodness did she deliver! I hope I can upload attachments after I click the Next button because words cannot describe the beauty of my bouquets. Pictures hardly do them justice! The saddest part of my wedding day was knowing that my flowers wouldn't live forever :-(
The day of my wedding, Roseanne and her husband, Maynard delivered the flowers and passed out the boutonnieres and corsages at the time they said they would. I was so happy to finally see her as all of our interaction had been by phone and e-mail. They were a beautiful couple who I wish I could have gotten to know a little bit more but the hustle and bustle of the day prevented that.
If I ever need floral services again while in CT, Roseanne will be the first person I reach out to. For any friends or family in the area that are getting married she will be the first vendor I tell them to call.

Roseanne is a pleasure to work with! Our wedding was more than we expected! We provided pictures with what we wanted our multiple centerpieces to look like, and Roseanne more than exceeded our expectations. She handled all of our challenging centerpieces and then some, by using any excess flowers we had on any decor that would look better with flowers. Roseanne Elliott of Flowers by Elliott took so much time & effort in learning details about my husband & me & our wedding day. Like me, she’s a perfectionist & possesses great attention to detail. Gorgeous customized fragrant flowers! I am estatic with Roseanne's work on our wedding bouquets and decorated trellis for the ceremony. It was a hot day in June and she worked dilligently to make sure all the boquets and bountineers were looking their best. She also got up on her ladder to adorn our trellis (wedding ceremony back drop prop) with peonies and roses. I had a cascading garden-y Bridal bouquet with lavender, berries, stephanotis , roses with sparkly crystals on the heads, peonies, dendrobium orchids and sprigs of rosemary! I used Flowers by Elliott and worked with Roseanne to come up with some beautiful bouquets and creative centerpieces. She did a phenomenal job and went above and beyond managing to get flowers I loved which other florists told me would be out of season and out of my price range. She has a great personality and was easy to work with. I absolutely loved my bouquet which was monochromatic, shades of pink, roses and peonies and hydrangeas and very very round and full. My girls bouquets were perfect, all white in a variety of flowers and much larger than I expected and all for a very fair price. My centerpieces were unique, we painted wine bottles and used calla lilies, curly willow and some ferns to create a 3 bottle centerpiece of varying heights, and we had Roseanne run with the idea and they came out great. She also had extra flowers which she used for extra decorations around the venue which really was going above and beyond in my book. She stayed at the hall until she found everyone in the wedding to put on their corsage/bout. and was a pleasure to work with. She works out of her home doing this business which is why I gave 4/5 stars for professionalism, she was great but she just has a smaller business. I gave 4.5 on quality only because she was a little late to arrive at the hotel but I would have hoped she would do a drive by or be sure of the location in advance.
