We stopped by here for lunch because it was recommended to us by someone as being "fresh home made italian food" and we had to try it. I was not disappointed at all! The pizza was on point! I ordered a calzone and my wife ordered the white gourmet pizza from the lunch menu. First the calzone: we got mushroom and sausage on our calzone and the bread was perfectly cooked and soft and fluffy and topped with a garlicy buttery spread. Second the Pizza: the white pizza sauce was bursting with flavor, not too salty but just enough of garlicy goodness to make it zesty. (Pro-tip: sub the tomato for pepperoni) The crust of the pizza was cooked to perfection the crust was crunchy and crispy and is best eaten fresh! In search of some good Italian food for our son's birthday. Being in an unfamiliar area we were just hoping for the best because. .. let's me honest, not all reviews are legit. That's certainly not the case with Floridino's. The atmosphere is very welcoming, comfortable and offers a large selection room of seating for small parties or very large. I'm pretty sure I saw a large, private room for special occasions that require extra space for guests too. The food was delicious, hot & so fresh. Mexican vs Italian. *Sì Señors : best lunch prices every day $10. 99 ($7.99 pre-COVID) includes an appetizer of chips and 4 different dips, lunch entrée, soft drink, and sopapilla!! We've tried other Mexican food restaurants (we base our opinions on green chili enchiladas) and no one can hold a candle in service, the "extras" and TASTE. Plus we don't have to stand at a window to order! It's true table service. Now if they would only have a BOGO senior night plus a gift card purchase incentive.... then we'd eat here every week! *Floridinos: good Italian food. Lunch specials are only until 2pm M-F but include a soft drink. Customer loyalty and employee loyalty in this place! Diners often request their favorite server. Servers remember their diners and greet with a smile. Monday night is BOGO for seniors. Gift card specials in July and December (we always buy $200 and get $250). We tried Floridinos for the first time as a late dinner. My husband and I were seated at a two seater booth against a back wall just as you enter the door. The place looks well loved and aged, with several regulars and groups of various sizes dining as well. A decent menu and a second just for beer/wine. There's a bit of nostalgia when your served an O-G plastic cup where you barely make out the "coca cola" logo. Our server was super nice but was also quite busy. We tried the pizza muffins which a friend had recommended and we're pleasantly surprised! We ordered a small salad and a sandwich as well to share and they split both items for us which I appreciated. The bread to the sandwich was really soft and good, but I think in my mind I thought I was going to have a greasy cheesy cheesesteak, which it wasn't, but still very good regardless. They have the best staff in the Valley! Consistently, too! Food here is always great. They are attentive. You need to ask about the monthly favor for pizza rolls. For July Is Birria. Spicy beef. Not too spicy. And it has an au ju sauce for dipping that is a little spiced up. You will regret it if you miss it. We've never had anything bad here. When I told my friend that I would be in Phoenix, he told me I had to check this place out because the pizza muffins here made it his favorite place of all time. After eating here, I can see why. I'm not sure how I haven't reviewed this previously. I've been going to floridino's for several years now, and it's always an excellent experience. Of course the pizza muffins are an amazing attraction. They are always delicious and wonderful. They have excellent lunch specials, in frequently I will go and order the calzone. Last time I ordered the lasagna which was also amazing, or sometimes it's just an order of the wonderful Pizza muffins. We have tried Floridino's a few additional times after my initial review and really enjoy the pizza. Flavors are good and the crust is always perfect. They are very generous with toppings and prices are good. Their pizza is the favorite from all we've tried in the area.
