I could not get lilacs anywhere else.  My mom had called the shop inquiring about lilacs for my wedding bouquet.  After several other shops had turned us away, Fleur De Lis was the answer to our flower prayers.  They went out of their way to find a wholesaler that still had fresh lilacs.  We had over ordered, and they only sold us what we needed.  They were the freshest lilacs I have seen.  The customer service was also impeccable.  I highly recommend this shop. While searching for a florist for our wedding, I had stopped in for a quote. Although we decided to go with another florist, Rachel was so great to work with. The flowers are beautiful and the prices are so reasonable for a budget conscious bride. Our reason for going with another florist was simply proximity to our venue. I called the store a few days before my final dress fitting asking for them to do up a hair piece. Outstanding customer service. My wife and I celebrated our 15th year anniversary and I wanted to get her a nice bouquet with her favorite flower (calla lilies). They told me they didn't have any in stock (in fact, none of the florists did when I called around) but can order them for next day and get them delivered before my wife has to leave to work. Flew to Portland for my birthday weekend. We stayed at the Hyatt Old Port. My husband ordered flowers to be in the room when I arrived. When I opened the door the smell of the flowers was beyond imaginable. And the bouquet was gorgeous!! The design was incredible. My flowers made it through 2 flights, back to my home in Green Bay. We were so pleased with our wedding flowers! We had two meetings prior to our wedding, and trying to explain what you envision for your flowers is difficult! Karen was amazing, she pulled flowers and made us a sample bouquet as we were sitting there. She brought flowers to both the venue and our house the morning of the wedding. The bouquets were above and beyond our expectations! They were gorgeous. All of the bouquets, boutonnieres, and centerpieces were perfect and she made them exactly how we wanted them! We came to Portland for a quick, sad trip. Here to inter my husband's parents ashes in the Riverside Memorial Cemetery in Cape Elizabeth, we arrived Tuesday afternoon with plans of meeting the Public Works guys at the grave site on Wednesday morning. Having flown in from Los Angeles after making all the other necessary arrangements long distance, it occurred to us that we had not included flowers in those plans. I did a quick search on Yelp and found Fleur de Lis with high praise from many satisfied clients. I wish to add our name to that list. We walked into the shop at about 4pm on Tuesday..."can you make a couple at arrangements to place on the headstone and one for the Grandparents marker that is right next door? AND have them ready by 10am tomorrow?"  "Why of course we can." Was their answer. Now let just say that my husband is a designer and has made a million arrangements for various events over the years, so his standards are high. We joked that he'd likely want to redo the arrangement... That was not necessary,AT ALL. These were magnificent, a perfect eclectic mix of autumnal colors, exotics and the classic standards.  Thank You Fleur De Lis, your thoughtful arrangements added the proper note of respect and beauty to a somber occasion. Your price for the floral masterpieces was very reasonable (granted we are used to LA prices) for the number of stems and exotic nature of many that were used.A million thanks.  If ever we find ourselves back in your fair city and in need of flowers, you can bet we'll be calling you first. Used Fleur De Lis for wedding bouquets and boutonnieres. After doing some research and talking to other florists in the area, Karen seemed to be the most experienced, and easy to work with. I'll admit that I didn't have much of a vision for my wedding flowers, and after explaining my color scheme to Karen, she put together some ideas of what she thought would be best, and sent me some names of flowers to look up. She also had worked with my venue before, and was able to get my flowers onto an island without scary expensive fees that other florists had quoted. The flowers looked beautiful the day of, and I loved the bridesmaids' bouquets. My one disappointment was that the only vision I had had for my bouquet was that I really wanted a cascading bouquet, and my bouquet the day of was not cascading. But I do understand that cascading can be difficult, depending on flowers used. Overall, would recommend Fleur De Lis to anyone looking for a wedding florist in the Portland area. More...

From the day we met Karen in her lovely store, we just knew she was going to be great to work with. Her bubbly playful personality even put the "groom to be" at ease !

Karen is simply amazing! She did such a fantastic job with our wedding! From the bouquets, to the boutonnières, to the centerpiececes - nothing short of spectacular! Such an incredible way she was able to take our thoughts and bring them to life with color, depth, and elegance!
