This review is just for the pinball arcade (we'll be back for food another time).  Who doesn't love an arcade?  Nice selection of games, though it could use a few more pinball machines (yes, I am the pinball wizard).  Loved playing Donkey Kong and my wife enjoyed Miss Pacman.  Definitely a fun spot that we'll be coming back to soon. This place was great ! We sat at the bar our bartender Kelly was super attentive . We had two of the specialty cocktails  STREET FIGHTER'S BREAKFAST   And a Shortys spicy cucumber ! Both were delicious! We both got a cup of chowder which is served in a mug with French fries and pork belly on top ! The chowder is great my favorite thing I ate my time in Hyannis.  We then we had the Caesar salad which is enough for two and the pork belly blt which is huge.   Both  were great !!! We held a Large hockey team event at Flashback and they were amazing. The place was fun and had video games everywhere to keep the kids entertained. The staff had a solid plan to get orders and get food out in a timely way- but- the big surprise was how amazing the food was. I've been having a fantastic time enjoying the martinis at this bar.  They've got a great selection of vodkas and know how to make me a perfect cosmo.  It's a lot of fun if you want to enjoy the video/arcade games or just casually have a drink at the bar.  There are always friendly people around and the bartenders are great conversation.Oh.. and the food is good too!! The food was exceptional with a unique twist on typical pub fare. Excellent selection of Booze, Beer & Wines & the service was outstanding as well,very knowledgeable & polite . Decided to give this place a try based on their fun "retro" vibe and old school video games we knew our 8 year old would love. We went on a Wednesday early evening so the place was pretty dead and got seated right away. Staff was extremely friendly and our server was fantastic with lots of suggestions and info without being overbearing. We played games while waiting for our cocktails, which didn't take long at all and were tasty. *Thumbs up* for generous wine portions. Instead of full meals we ordered a few apps; wings, calamari, short rib wontons, and cool ranch chicharrones. Everything was good but was very heavy on the salt, so keep a drink nearby. I actually had to stop eating the calamari due to salty clumps of batter. Our daughter got the kid's Ramen "meal" which was simply a very small bowl of ramen noodles in butter and parmesan cheese. The Ramen was nostalgic but the portion and lack of any extra sides or add-ons like fruit or veggies was a disappoint... but probably just for us parents. To add to the theme of the joint, there was live music with an acoustic guitarist playing Collective Soul, which I appreciated growing up through the 90s! This is by far one of my favorite places to hang out. They offer an amazing atmosphere as well as a great friendly staff who are so down to earth and put their personalities into their work. Their menu isn't extensive which allows for the ability to offer quality food as well as improvements and changes they feel their customers may enjoy. The bartenders offer exciting options from the drink menu as well as an array of entertainment on the large TV. This place rocks! The Tetris tots are BOMB. So was our burgers! Perfection! Was busy, but the staff were friendly, and attentive. Our order came out wrong, they fixed it right away. Loved the decor! This place is really cool!! Went for the first time this past weekend and I must say, was not disappointed! Let's start with the whole arcade and awesome 80s-90s feel. There aren't a lot of places that do this and they have the classic arcade games there! The food is good! We started with the chicharrones, which were probably some of the best I've had! Sooo airy, crispy and almost melts in your mouth. Flavor was awesome! Could honestly eat it all day. Then had one of their burgers, which was also good. They use organic meat and make basically all the sauces and everything on site. No prepackaged stuff! Yay! If you're down on the cape, or even if you're not. The food is phenomenal here! We only got to sample a couple of items on the menu, but can’t wait to go back for more!! Pictured is their version of clam chowder, which, on Cape Cod we all know there are so many to compete with, but this one was the best we’ve EVER had (and we’ve had a lot - the famous Captain Parker’s, Pilot House, Fishermen’s view to name a couple). The bartender was awesome as well. He was super knowledgeable about the menu and aimed to please when it came to service. You just don’t see that very often anymore. With my recent visit to Flashback Retro Arcade bar and grill , I felt like a kid again with such fun arcade and pinball memorabilia machines.  I couldn't help feeling like I had stepped back in time for my generation, while my grandsons were creating a new and challenging fun time of their own.  This was a great time for the whole family.  There are so many posters on the walls that are fun to look at.  Especially, for me seeing the JAWS poster and being reminded of the film made here on Cape Cod.  Too many posters to talk about and some are signed by famous people.  FLASHBACK is unique to Cape Cod ( Hyannis) and so innovative.  We decided to take a break from the games and have lunch.  I had the chicken salad ( small) which I couldn't even finish.  I chose  ( 3) words to define it.  Delicious, satisfying and unexpected.  The sweet tomato fries are superb.  My grandsons finished their all natural hamburgers and loved them.   Their menu has something for everyone.  The owners have truly brought a unique concept of fun for all generations.  There is public parking on the side and back as well as Main St.   I highly recommend Flashback with good service, friendly staff and just a fun day or evening with your familyBarbara B.       Can't wait to go back again More...

Excellent food , venue and games!  Went there with a large party of 7 today for lunch and it was a great experience- staff was friendly - welcoming and the service was excellent and the games were mesmerizing! !  All of the food was tasty - we really loved the chowder , the kids burgers , wedge salad and the cod fish sandwich - all were fantastic! This place was awesome! We vacationed at the Cape a couple towns over and my husband recommended this place as he had been there a month before for guys weekend. Had both kids with us (8yo & 5yo) and we all LOVED it!!! Went back twice because it was so great. The service was quick, servers very knowledgeable and polite, the games were fantastic, and the food was amazing! My son has food allergies and they were more than happy to make something off menu for him, my daughter got a grilled cheese (triple decker!) and the Tetris tots which were perfectly crispy, my husband and I shared plates because we couldn't decide what to get... we shared the bacon flight (oh yeah), the salt and vinegar wings (we could eat them over and over again they were so good), the ramen bowl (I prefer ramen a little saltier but my husband thought it was perfect, it was still very good) and the fish and chips (fish was fried perfectly, fries were really good, homemade coleslaw and tartar were delicious). I ordered a drink from the bar, all of which are named for video games, and it was absolutely fantastic... Street Fighter's Breakfast (ha!)Now the games... holy crap it was like re-living our childhood!!! Our kids were all over the place and had a BLAST (not to mention the fun WE had)! Very convenient way to get tokens, just let your server know how much you want and they bring them right to the table for you and add it right to your bill. No fishing around for dollars to put in a machine to exchange and the games also take quarters. The atmosphere was great, they have a lot of posters and nostalgic pieces throughout and the prices were very reasonable. All-in-all, we'll be recommending to all our friends that frequent the Cape as well as returning every chance we get. Thank you, Flashback for hours of fun! More...

We NEVER come to Hyannis. EVER. We traveled down ocean street to find a place to sit outside, but with the summertime crowds, we had no luck. So we ventured to Main Street. Needless to say, are we so glad we did. We truly found a diamond in the rough amongst dozens of restaurants. We came here with an open mind, looking for something different, and boy did we find it!! So surprised at the quality and originality of the food being served here. Upon seeing the restaurant, it's on the not-so-savory end of Main Street, and it's a little dark looking, but we decided to give it a go, if anything, just to see what the whole arcade thing was about. We were MORE THAN pleasantly surprised. The food is ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING. They have items on this menu that are hard to come by on the cape. Pork belly burger, short rib wontons, hot soft pretzels with bacon jam and pimento cheese. The ultimate was the chowder (see photo). Mad with pork belly and garnished with hand cut fries right in the chowder. Effing AMAZING. Blows any other award-winning Cape Cod chowder OUT OF THE WATER. I can't say enough about this place. The only thing I would say is they need to have something outside to get people in here and let them know just how good the food is. Clowns, balloons, baby animals, whatever!!! If you're looking to try something new on the cape (as we always are), please check this place out - you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! We will be back...again and again and again, until we have tried everything on the menu. And then we will be back AGAIN!!! Not to mention, the service was top notch. The bartender knew his sh*t and told us everything about the menu that we wanted to know, including that everything is scratch made. On top of it all, they have awesome retro video games for all you old school Nintendo/Sega etc. lovers for hours of entertainment.
