If you're a beers guy/gal, this is a lively, friendly place to stop in for a drink. Gregarious barkeeps happy vibe seems to rub off on all the patrons. Did not try the food.

Okay. The Reuben!!!!! And the pulled pork sandwich. This is enough to get me to come back to Solvang again. The beers we got were also so light and smooth, and I don't usually like beer that much. I ordered the Harp and I think it's my new favorite. The food was so good, like inexplicably good. Fries were great and I also ordered the tortilla soup which was a little cold at first but the waiters were happy to take care of that for me, which was very nice. Visited on: 11/18/19Met waitress Makayla (not sure if that's the correct spelling of her name) and she's definitely worth mentioning - very nice and courteous. I requested water with lemon and it was brought to me immediately. I looked over the menu (fairly simple - which was good). My order: Shepard's Pie and Four Cheese MAC. Everything tasted great. In town for a training and needed a warming dinner after a long day. We chose Fitzpatrick's and it was a great choice! I had the Shepherds pie and a blood orange ginger cocktail (I cannot recall the name). The drink was perfectly balanced ginger, fresh citrus, super refreshing and not too sweet. The Shepherds pie was delicious! Piping hot, braised beef in a rich sauce topped with a perfect proportion of mashed potatoes lightly crisped. We visit Solvang quite often and this has become one of our absolutely favorite restaurants. The food is consistently good and the servers are always very welcoming and friendly. Good service from attentive staff. Has a cozy Irish pub interior, dark wood and not very brightly lit.My wife had a burger and I had Shepherd's Pie. Both were tasty and came out fairly quickly. The rest of the menu looked good; a few standard bar appetizers and a few Irish pub dishes. We stopped in for a mid day drink and snack. We loved the laid back atmosphere and the friendly staff. Hubby got a red head stout, suggested by our server which he thoroughly enjoyed. I chose their margarita, in my opinion probably the freshest margarita I've ever had. We shared an order of fish n'chips, it was tasty and satisfying. The only reason I didn't give them 5stars was because the food service was a bit slow. Good heavens!  The food here is worth the 100 mile drive (or did it just seem like 100 miles?) to Solvang.  The Danish-style town itself is one big touristy few blocks of typical gift shops/bakeries/restaurants.  Irish pub in Danish town?  Heck yes!!  Special that day was a roasted, braised, delicious lamb shank, amazing homemade mashed potatoes, peas and carrots. The staff were immediately kind and welcoming.  I get that Solvang is a tourist town but this was the only place that the staff didn't seem absolutely miserable.  All the food we had was very delicious.  It made me not want to leave.  They don't have liquor, but their beer cocktails definitely make up for it. A complete surprise of good food and beer!!! Our family loves to visit Solvang and spend the day walking around and shopping. We always get food here and there, but decided to try Fitzpatrick’s Tavern. Honestly I was there just for the beer, and it was perfect on a hot summer day. My wife ordered some food to go and the bartender served cola to my kids. When the food was ready and I finished my beer, we ate outside in the park across the street. We ordered three items. First thing I noticed was the portions were plenty. My first impression as I opened the Mac n cheese was mind blowing. It smelled delicious and above all, tasted delicious!!! We also had the Reuben sandwich, and it was incredible!!! Last but not least the Pulled Pork was simply delicious as well. We went there in July 2018 and highly recommend eating lunch or dinner here.
