At the age of 2.5, my son broke his leg and had to wear a walking boot for 3 weeks. After the boot came off, he walked with a limp and his toes turned out. He was also a bit delayed in learning how to jump so the orthopedist recommended physical therapy. We initially chose to meet with Dr. Stacey Parsons because she had weekend office hours, but we are SO glad to have found her. Not only does she have weekend hours, but she was willing to meet us at our home in the evening, or at a nearby park on weekends! With two full time working parents, the convenience alone was amazing! She is so great with kids. My son liked her immediately and always looked forward to "playing at the park with Ms. Stacey". Very quickly she was able to help him build his strength back in the leg he broke, as well as increase his confidence climbing on the playground and trying new things. We would highly recommend Dr. Parsons for any PT your child may need. Dr. Stacey Parsons was amazing with my son. He was diagnosed with Torticollis around 4 mos old. For 3 months, we took him to Dr. Parsons about 2x per week. What an improvement he made thanks to her!!! She's so great with kids, easy to talk with, super knowledgeable & gives you sound advice. I highly recommend Fit Parsons! More...

Stacey's work is remarkable. I had severe back pain and Stacey was able to pin point the exact reason for my pain, she did not only addressed it but made sure I knew how to prevent it in the future and, suggested a few exercises I should practice to avoid it. I have not had relapse since! She is knowledgeable, professional and kind. I’m thrilled to have found her and will not try anyone else for my future needs. More...

Dr. Stacy worked on my body, and identified different exercises that I can actually do without feeling overwhelmed! I have gone to a few physical therapists, and have just been given handouts and spent 40 minutes assessing my posture, without actually working on and with me on how to appropriately do the exercise. Dr. Stacy showed me and modeled for me different exercises, provided detailed explanation and helped me understand what areas of my body I should focus on and strengthen to avoid and minimize further problems. Dr. Stacy is great! More...

Dr Parsons is an expert in her field and I highly recommend her. I injured my left hamstring to the point where I had significant knee pain and had trouble walking. Through regular sessions with Stacey, and an exercise routine she prescribed for me to do at home, I'm now back to regular activities, including mountain biking and road biking multiple times per week. If anything, I'm stronger now that I know how to take better care of myself. Thank you Stacey! More...

Q&As

Welcome! I am Dr. Stacey Parsons, DPT, OCS, CSCS, owner of FIT PARSONS. My career in movement began as a dancer and in the performing arts. This led me to teach group exercise classes as an independent contractor to now major Silicon Valley companies while also implementing the FIT KIDS program at the Berkeley YMCA while in college. My 15+ years of experience as a physical therapist ranges from training high level athletes to patients rehabilitating from surgery and/or disease. I graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1997 with a Bachelors in Human Biodynamics. I then pursued my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, graduating from the University of Southern California in 2002.

While in graduate school, I furthered my knowledge in exercise prescription and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Also while in graduate school, I interned at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This experience led me to incorporate treating orthopedic conditions and mild developmental delays in children, with expertise in treating torticollis and plagiocephaly.

In my years of practice, I have worked in multiple settings with multiple diagnoses to broaden my experience as a physical therapist while also serving as a Clinical Instructor. In 2006, I became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). I am also Certified in Applied Functional Science through the Gray Institute. My extensive educational background along with my scope of experience as a movement specialist treating both adults and children, makes me a very “FIT PARSONS” to help YOU!

The secret is consistency. Be mindful of your daily habits in the type and amount of food you eat AND prioritizing moving your body for at least 30 minutes a day.

Helping people move better and feeling better about themselves!
