This is a fantastic visitor's center whether you live in the area or are from far away. A beautiful new building right on the shore of Seneca Lake with a nice playground outside for children. The gorgeous map of the Finger Lakes in the floor is a must see. Tourist and historical information is very nicely presented visually and at interactive kiosks. The man at the time of our visit at the information desk was very knowledgeable and eager to talk. The restrooms are clean and well designed. Edible products from NY State are sold but they could have more variety. Our one criticism is that the food we ordered was not good. The menu of hot foods they prepare looks interesting but we were disappointed. More...

Excellent place to drop by to get information on things to do, eat and stay in new york state. It also has a cafe where you can have a snack and buy local goods. There are washrooms, free wifi and a spot to refill water. It also has 4 EV chargers to charge the car - free too! The lake view is spectacular as well as this place backs on to it. Great place to take a stroll and take a photo with the signature "I heart NY sign". Kids will have fun too in the outdoor playground. More...

Helpful and polite staff. Clean restaurants. Decent cafe inside. Coffee must be good because locals come in with their own refil mugs. Came on a Saturday they were hosting a local farmer's market. Visitors are all friendly and are the type to acknowledge you with a friendly hello, good morning, smile, or wave. Great place for meditation and feeling an awesome fresh breeze. Scott who volunteers there offers a TREMENDOUS WEALTH OF VERY VALUABLE INFORMATION!!! The center is beautiful and modern and offers something for young children to adults.
