I have to say this place is awesome. This was our first time here and I am blown away at the freshness and culinary skill of our meals. The vibe of this place is also spot on. It reminds me of a Seattle coffee/breakfast shop. I had the biscuit sandwich which was recommended as a popular item by Ash. I was shocked at how flaky and delicious the homemade buttermilk sage biscuit was. The flavors were perfectly balanced. I loved it. Then my wife had me try her “vegan hot mess skillet”. Oh my god!!! Field and fire is small, but don't let that fool you. The curry chicken salad was so flavorful. Every bite was perfectly balanced. The bread has a great crust. All of them do. The best part is that all of the traditional bread making techniques are followed for the traditional breads, but innovation lives in this place as well. New breads and new techniques have been used to make the breads live in the way that can only be seen since the turn of the 20th century. This is great bread.Even then, it still gets better. Bring your own container and you can get a some of the starter for use in your own recipes. My favorite bread in the area! Some of their specialty breads they only make on certain days and the employees always let me call and reserve a bag/place a bag on hold for pickup so I don’t miss an order because I love it so much.
