I've been here twice and ordered the same meal: Brisket sandwich, Mac n cheese, and corn. The brisket and bbq sauce are flavorful. I wish the brisket was more moist but I was told they only serve lean meat. The mac n cheese and corn were both good and a decent serving size. My favorite is the pecan pie. LOVE this barbecue. First time, we ordered for take-out, and were disappointed when they did not have turkey sandwich. Owner said they had chicken. We passed, and when we went to pick up our order, owner gave us a full cup of their shredded chicken. Fantastic food and some of the friendliest and generous staff I've ever met. I had the brisket, sausage, coleslaw, potato salad, cream cheese, bacon wrapped jalapeno, roll, banana pudding with sweet tea and ALL of it was amazing. We will be a regular now.

Great flavor, no fatty pieces and great service by the owners.  No wonder this has some of the highest ranked pulled pork in Texas.  The chicken is surprisingly flavorful and the brisket is top notch.  Try the creamy Mac and cheese (also homemade) and watermelon tea too.  The owner threw in a couple of the stuffed jalapeño bites for us to sample and they will for sure be ordered on our next visit.  Fantastic!  Worth the stop in. Nice little hole in the wall BBQ. The owner and his wife were very nice and chatted with us for a bit. Had the stuffed spud with chopped brisket and all the trimmings. More than I should have eaten. Not terrible, but not worth your dollar either. First, the ribs were really good. Should have ordered only ribs, overpriced as they were. Everything else...not great. Pulled pork - fail. Brisket- extra, extra fail with zero fat included (third extra fail). Chicken was decent. Just very let down on this place, especially with its price tag. For my next BBQ review I heard about this place from some people. I came here and tried the brisket. The brisket looked moist but was hard, had bad or no flavor and looked like a pot roast type of beef. The brisket is 1 star. The staff and owner however were extremely friendly and welcoming. Friendly staff, clean place. I had the 3 meat combo (sliced brisket, beef sausage and jalapeno cheese sausage) with spicy pintos and potato salad as my sides. Also had an order of the stuffed jalapenos. The meal also came with a nice yeasty roll and a self-serving of BBQ condiments including pickles, onions and pickled jalapenos. To start, the condiments are very good; the pickles I had were a bit sweet with just the slightest hint of heat. The onions were not overbearing and the pickled jalapenos, while could have been more spicy for me, had just a slight bit of heat. The sides were good, although the pintos were not spicy at all to me? And the roll was large and had a nice balance of yeast with just a bit of sweetness. As for the meat, the brisket while moist, tender and fairly lean was more like a pot roast than what I prefer in my brisket. Not bad, but not that heavy smoke flavor, no thick bark and could have used more salt and pepper. The jalapeno sausage was OK as well; not a wow factor to me but more mediocre. The beef sausage was my least favorite, as it was more like a kielbasa than what I look for in a good beef sausage. The stuffed peppers were probably the best thing I had. Again, they could have been more spicy for me, but they had a nice balance of pepper, bacon, meat and cheese, no one overpowering any of the other ingredients. I'm not a sauce person but they had two sauces on the table, sweet and spicy. I did not try the sweet but did try a bit of the spicy. Once again, not spicy enough for me and a bit sweet, but that's just personal preference. I would give it a strong 3+ stars, especially with the friendly staff that wanted to make sure you enjoyed your meal! Would I drive back to the area just to have their food - no. Would I eat there again if I was in the area and wanted BBQ - yes, but would try some different options. More...

Had a craving for ribs and wanted to try some place new. The pics lured us in and they didn't disappoint. The ribs were meaty, fell right off the bone and were delicious. Also tried the jalapeño sausage which was very cheesy. The watermelon ice tea was good. The owner was so nice. We came in ten minutes before closing and they were so nice to us. When I ordered something from the menu, the cashier decided to mansplain what was in what I was ordering in front of everyone in line as if I wasn't smart enough to know what I was ordering. He was rude and condescending. To not embarrass my son who was with me, I ordered what the cashier told me I "should" order. Then, when the food arrived it was overly greasy and not worth the money. When you are here, you're family is their culture. The food is cooked with love and you can sure taste it!The red potato salad is solid, I prefer mine with the skins on for the texture and nutrients and that's how they make em! Green beans are light and helps balance the Smokey flavor in your mouth. Their Mac and cheese is ooey gooey good and smothered in sauce, LOVE THAT!! Must: half ribs with any other order! Think of it as an appetizer Tip: try their watermelon tea! I like to mix 70% watermelon tea with 30% unsweetened tea. The owners make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
