Great place! I've had a few experiences at Farfalle, both in store and for a catered event. First off the meatballs taste just like my grandmothers! The shop is cute and inviting, very casual with a nice selection of freshly prepared foods. The quality of ingredients really shows. And there always seems to be something delicious cooking on the stove or in the oven. The catering service was also great, straightforward ordering, everything arrived on time and as described, all our guests were thrilled with the food! Highly recommend More...

Went for a quick lunch. Food was great, but 16 dollars for a pre- made panini, drink and chips is entirely too much.

A couple of friends and my boyfriend came here for lunch after a little hike over at Walden Pond. We saw it had really good reviews on Yelp along with some  nice photos.  I have to say, the food was very delicious but portion size was very small. I shared my full size porsciutto panini sandwich ($10) with my boyfriend. We also ordered the tomato basil soup in a bowl ($8) instead of cup as well a lasagna. the bowl of soup was decent. both the panini sandwich and the lasagan was very small and we both were not satisfied after. There was only 1 slice of prosciutto in the sandwich which was again, very tasty (mozzarella and basil) but it was so very thin. the same for the lasagna. very little meat/sauce inside. one layer of cheese and that was it. my friends ordered the chicken with pesto pasta which was decent for the price $12. The other friend also ordered a panini sandwich. I forgot which one but both sandwiches were really thin. my friend also ordered a chocolate cake which she liked a lot. i didn't try it. also ordered macchiatos for everyone. Illy's is definitely a very good brand and it was tasty. It's a very classy place. an italian boutique market that also serves some foods. the price is on the steep side. More...

I frequent here a lot, mostly for lunch.  Love the Panini sandwiches-have tried almost all of them.  My favorite is the fresh mozz, basil and tomato. . Have also had the homemade soups-my fav is the roasted tomato with a sprinkle of parm cheese.  The owners Jeff & Gina are always delightful.  I will be back , again & again. More...

Tasty sandwiches (panini), imported meats/cheeses/veggies. Not a huge selection of menu items but what they do have they very well. Nice selection of Italian meats and cheeses by the pound available. Plenty of specialty items (Italian of course). They offer catering services that I hear are very good. Prices are a little high for what u get but they are commensurate with the area. More...

I take back everything I've written before.  I brought a catered dinner from Farfalle to an event I was hosting and every single item was perfect. Gina was kind and couldn't have been more helpful and hospitable. Out of this world glazed ham, meatballs and sausage, lasagna, salad with strawberries n cheese, au gratin potatoes. Fresh, beautiful, wonderful. And a berry n fruit tiramisu that rates as one of the best desserts I've had in my lifetime. I will be back. This was a stellar experience I can't speak highly enough of.  Everyone there wanted to know where the food was from, and I mean everyone. Thank you!! More...

I can't tell you how taken I was with this little piece of Italy hidden in charming Concord  Massachusetts.  Known for its rich Yankee history. ..It will be now be known for quality Italian homemade foods, an incredible pasta selection, a variety of fine wines not seen in these nearby towns and get ready for this...they even have Trillium beer for sale! The staff was welcoming, the environment was inviting and the prices very reasonable.Five stars...bellissimo! I had the Mozzarella cheese, Prosciutto, basil, balsamic and ciabatta bread panini. Admittedly cliche, Farfalle is the most authentic italian eatery I've found since my last trip to Italy. The atmosphere the owners Gina and Jeff have created adds significantly to the experience. When you arrive they greet you with a warm hello, as if you had just walked into your neighbors house. Of course to top that all off the food is great. I recommend any of the paninis and the ricotta cake. More...

BEST PANINI outside of the North End!  Other highlights:   ricotta pound cake + affogato. (The chocolate-almond torte, and the savory items in the case are worth bringing home. ). These owners care about the craft...and they know their wines. More...

More...

Pretty much every time I'm in Concord, I go to Farfalle. The proprietors (possibly husband and wife?) are kind and polite, and make some damn good food. I've never been disappointed. My meal is always founded upon meatballs: freshly made and usually ready to order or about to come out, they're perfect. Simple meatballs with red sauce. Along with a bowl of at least three meatballs comes some assortment of my choosing. A caesar salad and some stuffed peppers might do the trick, or maybe soup and a panini of tomato basil and bocconcini, grilled of course. No matter what the combination, its a good day.The location is kinda funny, but there's always parking and within steps of the commuter rail, its easy to get to by public transportation, too.Besides the food, there's a decent selection of Italian wines and packaged foods like chips and cookies and stuff, and some hardish to find beer. Only catch is you're not allowed to drink it on the premises - Farfalle's only shortcoming, no license. The patrons can be annoying at times, but that's to be expected in the olde towne.A reasonably new addition to Concord's stable of gourmet cafés, Farfalle can more than keep up. An exquisite gem squirreled away amidst the grassy suburbs of mediocrity.  These people value excellence but are extraordinarily down to earth.  Jeff's talent, work ethic, and curiosity are prominent in all the delightful confections and savory bits that abound.  The wine and beer selection are excellent, as are Farfalle's other wares.  For those that aren't Starbucks Zombies, this place is worth your time and deserving of your patronage. I've been coming here since the day they opened.I love the food and their selection of other Italian goodies is fantastic. The beer and wine? Amazing as well.I wish there were more vegetarian/vegan options (broken record, I know) but as far as what I can actually eat goes, this place is great! Farfalle has wonderful food for lunch or dinner.  This is a local, family owned place -- they care about food and it shows.  We used them one night for a prepared dinner for 25 people and it was fantastic.  I highly recommend Farfalle... I have only been to this little store a few times but they have a great selection of real Italian fare.  the sandwiches are fresh and I love that you can see someone making the food right there in front of you.  I bought a very nice bottle of Italian wine, a Palari Faro, and cannot wait to have it with a special dinner.  The man who owns it is quite personable and very helpful when we were looking at the wines.  This guy definitely knows his wines and Italy!  I'll definitely be going back for some authentic Italian ingredients to make dinners and I cannot wait to try some of their imported olive oils. I love this place, although I admit I've only ever gotten the Caprese panini.  It's just too good to try anything else - perfectly crispy bread, gooey cheese, fresh tomatoes, and incredibly flavorful basil. The shop has quite a selection of tasty-looking things I haven't tried yet - fresh pasta, tempting desserts, and imported Italian candy.  The only bad thing I can say about Farfalle is they're not always open when I want them to be! It's a rare and beautiful Saturday, Summer 2009, and you've just wheeled all morning all the way from Cambridge to Concord to meet your buddies at Walden Pond. ..only to find out that they looked up the directions to the "other" Walden Pond in Lynn, Mass, and you were banking on a ride home. Kind of a downer, right?Well, not if you are spoiled with the convenience of having smartphone access to Yelp! See, I was totally smitten by the cuteness of the Concord main street offerings, but knew that there must be some real gems tucked away just yonder. Luckily, yonder wasn't too far, and I didn't have to scroll too far down before noticing Farfalle Italian Market. Boy oh boy! What a beautiful, sleek venue (I felt a bit incongruous, stumbling in with my puffed out backpack-and-swinging-helmet). The place was mostly empty, except for a couple that looked like they were enjoying their regular cuppa. The young woman at the counter nudged me in the direction of their prosciutto sandwich, and that proved to be fortunate. One of the highlights came out while I was waiting: they have whole stacks, piles, *shelves* of food magazines and classic general and Italian cookbooks to leaf through while you nibble. Also, you can't but help but be tempted by the array of carefully selected imported Italian treats, chocolates, pastas, oils, etc. lining the walls...except if you have to lug it back on your back.Chocolate & rum cookie: texture = fudgy and smooth, but still light. flavor = surprisingly deep chocolate flavor. size = small and perfect if you're looking for a boost for the ride back.Prosciutto sandwich: the bread layers were thin, which actually worked really well for letting the fillings speak for themselves. Fresh mozz, oh you can't go wrong when there's fresh mozz. I thought the cooked prosciutto was a little weird, because I'm used to the slick, sticky gumminess (sorry, it is!) of the regular smoked preparation, and rubbery smoked ham just isn't quite the same. But all in all, the sandwich + cookie + vibe + free food mags made for a magical prelude to a long, but pleasant, and well-fueled ride back.Yum! More...

This place is the real deal Italian steal. It's the best restaurant in Concord and it's the best everyday Italian I can think of in the hub. The anitpasti and daily specials are incredibly fresh and reflect the local agriculture, extremely earthy and soul-nourishing. The place is beautiful, I can't think of a more serene and chill place to have breakfast lunch or dinner quite frankly. They really don't serve much pasta, it's much more home-style cuisine that's just extremely well-done and fresh. I am routinely disappointed by Italian restaraunts, unless you spend $100 bucks or more, it's always "Eh, I can make better pasta myself.". This place is my favorite Italian place by far around here. The wine and beer selection is phenomenal by the way, and is worth the trip by itself. Farfelle is open for breakfast lunch and dinner and is steps away from the Concord Center Commuter Rail Stop. A nice and non redundant addition to Concord's already great lunch/catering businesses.  Farfalle specializes in sophisticated, yet simple Italian food (refined comes to mind).  They offer a range of daily Panini sandwiches (much better than Serafina's btw), pastas, salads and other Italian dishes along with some Italian desserts and some intrusions into French territory (homemade brioches, croissants, etc.).  They prioritize excellent produce over quantity.  All the breads used for the Paninis (Iggy's?) are excellent and crusty.  Located right next to the train station in Concord Center, they are in a perfect location for commuters and a little less so for the touristy foot traffic enjoyed by the town.
