Gail D. Guillory has been nothing but supportive through my years. I have seen her throughout my freshman and sophomore high school years when times were beyond tough. She worked with me one on one and then family came on some sessions! She helped with any knots or feelings that festered inside bubbling to a boil point with family. It was amazing that she understood and gave the exact advice that i needed. I realize in my teenager years i was not doing my part in family either. Family is just like a relationship or is one. Its takes work, time, and effort for it to be just okay! When its only certain members giving it their all then its just not going to work out. She taught me a lot and how to take care of myself mentally. After not seeing her five years i decided go back in again, after my first amazing experience! (on my own personal reasons). Gail would cover all points on each subject we would talk about. Asking questions and making me think. Really think about these situations. Sometimes we human beings just need to talk it out and have someone like gail to listen! (Other times its more than just that) It just nice to have someone to talk to who understands or has been through it. She always checks in too, after not talking about it in some session. Gail cares and generally wants to know if i am doing well. Its awesome to know she does 110% to ensure that things are going well. Thank you gail for giving me a chance to express myself, my feelings, and not to mention my troubles! I have been seeing Gail for approximately 2.5 years. She has helped me tremendously overcome issues that were impeding my life so badly that I wasn’t even able to work or have healthy relationships with family and friends. The issues had come on suddenly as I had never been in a situation where I needing to see a therapist before. I had tried another therapist before Gail and just got nowhere. I was really giving up hope that I would not be able to enjoy life again due to anxiety. Gail has the ability to make you feel so comfortable in sharing and gives you many great tools to use in everyday life. If you have tried other therapists and not had a “good connection” please don’t give up! I was about to give up myself when I first met her in a group setting then asked if she would work with me individually. It was the best decision ever. We have made a lot of progress in the time together and look forward to continue improving myself, my communications with others and my relationships. More...

Gail Guillory is a very empathetic, honest, problem solver. Gail is able to be objective and point out the pros and cons of a challenge with finesse. She inspires you to adjust positively to your situation - or shall I say “learning opportunity”. She is an extremely effective therapist who is able to offer suggestions/solutions. My family has experienced some trauma and she hand picked other therapists to offer support to my children and husband. They were all a perfect fit for their personalities! I have been seeing Gail Guillory for counseling at Family Counseling Associates, Inc. since suffering tremendous loss in my personal life within the past year. Both my brother and mother (my only family) died within three months of each other, sending me deeper into the depression that I have been struggling with for many years. Not to get too much into my personal issues, but I suffer from anxiety, depression, OCD and some other challenges. Gail came highly recommended to me, so I thought I'd try a few sessions. I am so glad I did. Gail has a very caring, easy going nature that is at the same time professional. I find her style to be friendly, comforting and nonjudgemental. Meeting with her is like talking to an insightful, helpful friend. She recently started a group therapy session for people with similar issues. I feel much more positive, hopeful, and motivated since engaging with Gail and I plan to continue with one-on-one sessions and group sessions for the foreseeable future. The group at family counseling are a wonderful to deal with. Every week my daughter is welcomed and spoke to by Candice and Maddy with like she’s family. I have seen Gail Guillory for over 2 years. My husband of 47 years died in January of 2015 after a 2 year battle with a rare cancer. Living without him is the hardest thing I have ever faced. I am a person that believes talk therapy is a good thing even when there is nothing wrong. The counselors and staff at Family Counseling Associates have been very caring, and emapthetic to my needs.
