Emily & her team are amazing and super talented in what they do. I only interviewed one make up artist and the moment I met Emily, I was SOLD! She is so easy to work with and is super personable. Not only she made me look beautiful, but made me feel beautiful. The day of the wedding, she did such an amazing job on my make up and hair, it lasted all night long and I was glowing. Recently had this team come and do my multi-event marriage things. First, we did a civil ceremony, then a tea ceremony, and a reception. They were on point! I was looking for a make-up and hair artist for my wedding and a friend recommended Emily. Not knowing much about her work, I contacted her for a trial. When I met her, she listened carefully and considered what I liked and didn't like about various styles. I wanted a natural look for both the wedding ceremony and the photos and she accomplished just that! Emily came highly recommended by one of my best friends, who said to me, "Emily will make you feel so beautiful on your wedding day. " I booked her for my large party of 8 bridesmaids, 2 mothers, a flower girl and myself. I scheduled my trial for the same day as my engagement shoot, and first met Emily when I went to her studio for my trial. She offered me wine and I had SO much fun - we talked about anything and everything, it was like chatting with an old friend. I was sad when it was over because I didn't want to leave. By the end of it, I couldn't believe I was looking at myself in the mirror. Emily is seriously a miracle worker, it was hands down the best I'd ever seen myself look. Despite a six hour gap between seeing Emily and doing my engagement shoot, my hair and makeup stayed flawless and I couldn't be happier with how the photos turned out. On my wedding day, Emily and her team arrived right on time and quickly went to work. My bridesmaids were all so beautiful and I appreciated how Emily's team really listened to each girl to give them what they wanted. I enlisted Emily and some of her team to help me and my bridesmaids with our makeup and hair for my wedding this past October. She and the other makeup artists did such an amazing job! Everyone was so professional and arrived promptly as scheduled. They worked super efficiently and we were actually able to finish ahead of schedule (which is amazing for a wedding!). Emily also does a terrific job of making you feel at ease, which helps to relieve some of the stress of the big day. Liz did my makeup for my senior prom and graduation party, and she did such an AMAZING job! She perfectly matched my looks to the dresses I was wearing, and also made sure to follow any input or guidelines I had. As someone who rarely wears makeup, I was hesitant to wear falsies all day, but she is such an expert with them and I could barely feel them. I seriously loved everything about both the looks she did for me, and she made those occasions just that more special. Liz also did my mom's makeup and she did such a great job, my mom was super happy with her work. Emily was amazing or should I said incredible! She did a really great job on my hair highlight and my makeup on my wedding day! So many guests had gave me great compliments! Even some of my guests didn't recognize me because they didn't believe that was me! I love my hair!!!! She touched up my drastically overgrown balayage perfectly and gave me such a beautiful color. I wanted my hair on the lighter side but still natural looking. A very vague description but she knew exactly what I wanted. Her products are of very high quality because my hair still feels so soft and healthy. Love it!!! Wonderful experience and she is a fantastic makeup artist and hair stylist.  My entire family and in laws were so impressed with her work.  I still felt like myself and did not have to worry about my make up getting smeared or anything of the sort.  I was planning my wedding from out of state so all conversations and dealings were mainly by phone and email, yet Emily was so wonderful answering all my questions and giving advice and or tips.  She even had a list of referrals in case we needed an alternative.  I ended up booking her and her crew for my photoshoot, my church wedding (day before) and for my tea ceremony and reception make up.  She was so accommodating with the time when we were constantly traveling between cities the entire week.Overall, Emily is a professional, and and she is also a fun-loving soul.  I would trust that she will put your best interest and will provide top level service to anyone and everyone. I'm so glad I was able to book Emily for my wedding. I was really scared days before my wedding since my left eye was pretty swollen but Emily did an amazing job at covering that up along with the redness on my chin that was caused by pimples few wks before my wedding. Everyone thought my makeup was amazing that night. I can't thank Emily enough for that. No one knew my left eye was swollen. She was very honest too. I didn't remember that I paid her everything on the trial day so on my wedding day, I asked her if this was how much I owed her since I didn't keep track of what I paid and she told me that I already paid her . I recently had Emily do my makeup for a styled wedding shoot and couldn't feel more calm and confident in her abilities. This is coming from someone who has a difficult time letting go of control. Even for my own wedding I had to do my own makeup because I didn't want to give up that control. Needless to say my skills were limited and my makeup didn't last so well the entire wedding. Really wished I had found Emily then. She has a fun personality, a bit sarcastic at times and loves to joke around. Which I think helps ease the nerves of any brides.  What also makes a good makeup artist is knowing what looks good on you and just running with it. And she does that! Emily has been doing my makeup for years and did my makeup for our wedding in December 2016. She also brought in an assistant, Michelle, who did hair and makeup for my sisters (bridesmaids), our mother of the bride, and our mother of the groom. Everyone looked stunning at the wedding thanks to Emily and Michelle. They are both calm and easy to work with, which made the afternoon of getting ready very stress-free, and they both arrived early to set up their hair/makeup stations in the bridal suite. Emily did my hair and makeup for my wedding in June 2016, and her assistant did hair and makeup for my two bridesmaids. Emily was a real pleasure to meet and work with. She combined extensive experience with a listening ear to create a look that was just what I imagined, and even better in practice than I had hoped.Not having had my makeup done professionally before, I was glad to have the chance to do a full hair and makeup trial with Emily first before the big day. Wonderful MUA... I booked Emily just a few weeks before my wedding after canceled a rude MUA. Before booking her I have no ideas about her work, but many of my friends recommended me to go with her, and I did. We had no trial makeup session before my engagement photo shoot, cuz I have no time, but she amazed me. Im lucky to have her do the makeup on my wedding day since i booked her so late, but she did a great job. Emily was the sweetest to work with!  For my first makeup consultation, we met at her office location and for the hair trial (which was months later considering my short hair) we met at her house.  She was always quick to respond to my emails/texts and was so personable and easy to talk to; I really didn't know what I wanted but sent her pictures of what I liked and she worked it like a charm.  During my hair trial, I really liked my soft/romantic bun.  Just tell her what you like/want and she can make adjustments as needed (bring/send pictures!).  Remember to communicate with your MUA!  On my wedding day, I decided to move my bun to the opposite side with a more teased poof on my head and she spent around three hours to put on my face and hair.  She put tons of bobby pins in my hair to keep it up and gave me a touch-up kit to help keep things in order.  ***Gosh, she made me feel so GLAMOROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!***   Thank you Emily!  You are such a doll!!!Go with her because you definitely won't be disappointed.  =) More...

Where do I even begin...Emily is such an amazing make up artist and she is the sweetest person too.  When I first met Emily during our consultation meeting, she was really nice and down to earth.  I did a little research on her work prior to reaching out and after meeting her for the first time, I knew she was the one I want to hire to do my hair and make up for my wedding.I wanted someone not only who has talent, but someone I was able to work with, someone who also listens to my opinions and ideas, and someone who simply I can click with during the makeup session.I met with her again when she did her trial hair and makeup for my engagement shoot.  I think the whole session took about 2 hours but it felt like half hour.  The whole time we were chatting away and laughing over the craziest stories.  Keep in mind, this was at like 6 in the morning and she was still full on energy.She did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for both engagement and wedding sessions. Emily is absolutely amazing! The first time I had my makeup done by her actually happened by  accident funny enough. I had originally reserved a different makeup artist for my high school homecoming dance through A-List Makeup. Unfortunately the day of my event she had a family emergency so Emily came to fill her place last minute. She was extremely calm and collected for taking on such a sudden job. I was also completely amazed by the quality of her work. I don't think I've ever felt so beautiful! She did both my hair and makeup that day, also for my Senior Prom later that year. Emily was such a pleasure to work with. I had my hair and makeup done by Emily a few times before (sister and friend's wedding) and I loved it. So when it comes to my own wedding, I did not even think twice about looking for other MUA - I knew that I wanted Emily. The moment I found a date and venue for the wedding, I contacted Emily and booked her service. I booked her more than a year in advance as I was afraid that she won't be available - I really wanted her! =) I did a hair and makeup trial with Emily a few months before the wedding. The trial session went very well. Emily was so patient with the things that I wanted done and she also gave her professional opinion and suggestions which was very helpful. On top of it, she is so fun to be around with. I feel like I was hanging out with an old friend the entire time I was with her. On the day of the wedding, Emily came with her team. She did my hair and makeup while her team worked on my bridesmaids. Everyone in her team was so nice and sweet. It took a few hours for the hair and makeup to be done and Emily let me took a break to eat lunch because she knew that I won't have any time to eat until the reception - thank you for that, Emily! I was starving at that time.I wanted a change in hairstyle for the reception and Emily came back to do that right after the ceremony. I saw Emily's work and knew I had to book her for my wedding. I booked her more than 1 year in advance. She was the second vendor I booked, after my venue! I've got to say I have never once regret booking Emily. Her price was very reasonable given the quality of her work! I am not sure why some reviewers had trouble getting response from her. She was very responsive to emails and texts. She is very nice and super easy to work with. She confirmed the time and place to meet up a few days before the wedding. The day of the wedding, she showed up to the hotel on time to do my make up and hair. It took about 2.5 hrs for hair and make up but it did not feel long at all. Emily was super easy and entertaining to talk to. She was very attentive. I told her I am not used to wearing fake eyelashes and she took the time to apply the individual ones for those who are not used to wearing them like me. I was able to wear it the whole night! All the reviews are true. Emily is crazy talented, super friendly, a great listener and very observant with her clients. From the start it felt like we were old girlfriends playing with hair and makeup. She was able to tell when I wasn't 100% sure about a look or was indecisive about what I wanted. She ran through different ideas to help me figure out what was best and tied the look to my dress and rustic wedding theme. We ended up doing two hair trials since the first trial was a bit rushed because I booked my engagement session in Livermore and didn't schedule enough time to try different combinations of looks. I originally was only suppose to come back to try airbrushing but Emily could see I wasn't heart set on a look yet and that made me a bit nervous for the wedding day so she offered to try a another hair style which I couldn't believe but happily accepted. I loved my hair during the trial and for the wedding day, it was exactly how we planned together so I didn't even have to think about it.
