My son wanted thin crust pizza for his birthday. Thanks to yelp I found one. We may have ordered a bit too many dishes, but everything was great. I've had such a wonderful experience each time I've gone into Robert's or ordered delivery. The pizza tastes SO GOOD (shout out to the killer crust and sauce recipes), and the salads I've had before are tasty as well. In addition to dining in the restaurant itself, I've also ordered from Robert's via Caviar. My fiancé and I ordered a pizza for pick up with the intention of eating at home. When we walked to the hostess stand, we took one look at the restaurant and requested to be seated. The front room with bar overlooks the water; the patio was closed because it's winter, but the trees were wrapped with twinkle lights. The bar was lightly decorated with festive garland. The ambiance was perfect for a low key weekday date night. We shared a pizza-- half pepperoni/sausage and half onion/bacon. We both loved our side of the pizza. Perfect dough and crisp, tasty tomato sauce, and we could tell fresh mozzarella was used on the pizza. Our waitress was awesome and we even got to meet the owner, Robert. Who would have thought - an amazing NY style thin pizza crust in Chicago! The crust was perfect, the sauce delicious, and cheese and toppings, although I prefer a slightly greater amount, exceptional. May he the best thin crust pizza I've ever had. This is the best Pizza I ever had, I kept recommending to all my friends and family! I am so glad that my friend introduced this place to me, the pizza was very quick to come out. Came here on a Sunday night and it wasnt to busy which was a good thing. The location is really nice as you can overlook the large windows and see the Ogden Slip as well as the occasional dog walker. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered the Jays style pizza with bacon and we almost finished all of it. So good, go here. Location is a little hidden in the building, but great set up, cute decor. We got some beers, meatballs for appetizers and the fungi pizza with added fennel sausage. Robert's Pizza & Dough Company is the best place we could have come for dinner. We came in a group for a friends birthday and this was the perfect place for it. Our server Braxton was phenomenal and will be requested the next time any of us come back to Robert's. We had the short rib pasta, veggie pasta, duck breast prosciutto pizza, mushroom and pepperoni pizza, and cheese pizza. ALL. WAS. AMAZING! Get the duck breast prosciutto pizza. I came here with my sister and brother-in-law. We had an overall good experience. We ordered the bacon and Brussel sprout pizza and the carmelized onion pizza with arugula. We loved the Brussel sprout pizza but couldn't give it 5 stars because the Brussels were cut into large wedges and they weren't crispy. See attached picture. This was amazing pizza.  The crust was perfectly thin in the center yet fluffy and crunchy on the edges.  Flavorful and unique toppings and sauce made this pizza to die for.  I also love the fact they don't go for that generic Chicago deep dish fad.  They stick to Artisan style, one size, simple and yet upscale.Thanks for the treat! Visited Roberts for a Friday night after work stop. We made a reservation ahead of time since we were unsure of the wait & if it would be crowded. I would advise to always book ahead if you can as it does fill up pretty quickly. We ordered the margarita pizza to share and the meatballs to start as an appetizer. The meatballs came out and were simply delicious. From the presentation to the taste of fresh melted cheese and sauce on them along with the crostini's on the side, the dish was very well prepared, wish there was more than only 3 meatballs as they were savored in every bite. The pizza came out next and was equally delicious, warm and crunchy. The crust isn't too crunchy where it stabs into your gums but is still soft enough to bite into and enjoy along with the slice. The service was pretty good & the decor is relaxing yet casual. They did a nice job building out the space and utilizing the long bar, dining room and low top tables. Wow! Amazing restaurant, amazing pizza, amazing staff,  amazing location!! Stopped in here after taking an architectural river cruise.  Was looking for Chicago Deep Dish Pizza but opted to try this out.  There were 4 of us and we all agreed it was absolutely the BEST pizza we have ever had!! The crust was incredible! I have been here all week and have eaten at several restaurants...Morton's, The Gage, Mercat, two pizza places,...and this was MY FAVORITE!!  The owner, Robert, stopped and chatted with us.  Very welcoming staff!  It was a beautiful day...The wall opened to the outside and the weather was perfect! Yummy!!!! Pizza was perfecto. Service amazing. Patrons yuppies but what can ya do. They have gelato too and next time o go I'm going to save room for it. We got the pep and weren't let down. Crispy light flat dough with Percy amount of cheese and gourmet peps. They almost had a slight hint of capicola-esq taste. Sauce wasn't too thick and very sweet with slight chunks of tomato. Robert's is in a lovely spot looking out onto the waterway, with a parade of people walking their dogs outside the large, often open windows. This place has amazing pizza crust, thin and crisp, with an almost hollow crispy edge, and just the right amount of chewiness. The fennel pizza was delicious. There was fennel in the wafer-thin slices of sausage (not greasy at all) and also both fennel root and fennel sprigs on to. A subtle drizzle of honey really awakened the other flavors.
