I needed transportation from home to Duke University Medical Center in Durham. They arrived with plenty of time to get to my appt on time in a very nice towncar. The driver opened the doors for me. When I was finished with my appt, they had me call and were at Duke within 10-15 mins. Very courteous, nice comfortable and clean car. Will use them whenever I need transportation. Everything was on-time and professional.  The driver was familiar with alternate routes to avoid morning traffic on our way to the airport.  For our pickup, we received a text the day of our flight that the driver would be monitoring our incoming flight to know when to pick us up.  Upon arrival, we received a text and voicemail that he was waiting and where to meet him.  The service also asked the number of people being picked up as well as the number of bags.  This information was used to determine which vehicle they would send.These are additions that I have not experienced with ride share services and will use Express RDU Taxi again in the future. Express RDU Taxi is very, very reliable and always arrives on time with pleasant drivers. We are new transplants in the area from NYC and used to driving Uber when in need. Being further out of the urban centers of Raleigh or Durham, as we are, there is no way we can rely on Uber for early flights. I used this car service for a same-day round trip in Lillington. I scheduled the car service several days in advance. Since Lillington is not close to any transportation, and it was about 50 minutes from the airport I was worried that I could potentially be stranded. However, Express RDU Taxi made sure that I was not. The driver called me a little earlier which I appreciated, and got me to my business appointment right on time. When my appointment finished early I called him and he picked me right up about 2 hours later.The service was excellent, efficient and right on time. They are respectful and extremely reliable. Found Express RDU on Yelp and saw it had good reviews so decided to use them. I booked my 6 am taxi 2 days in advance (on July 4th, and they still answered the phone). I researched on Yelp and found RDU Express.  When you go to their website, there is a form of can fill out after which they will contact you (and there's also a discount for first time customers)! Given that I had an early morning flight to catch, I decided to call the night prior to my flight.  They did not provide a confirmation number or anything, so even after booking, I was worried that there wouldn't be a car waiting for me to take me to the airport.Well, turned out that everything was fine.  They arrived early and were waiting in front of my hotel.  One confusing thing was that the car was not marked RDU Express but something else. I checked with the front desk before walking to the car - they informed me that many can companies work together in the area so the car may not be marked with the name of the company with which you book a cab. Pros:#1) The internet booking request process on the website was easy.#2) They responded promptly to Internet booking request & sent a confirmation email. #3) Arrived 5 min early even though my pick up time was 4:30 AM.#4) Driver was polite and quiet.Cons:#1) The car that picked me up was not a metered cab or even noticeably labelled as a car service. It was a beige four-door sedan, so it kind of felt like I'd prearranged an UberX. I wouldn't say the car was really nice enough to be called a town-car either. #2) $50 for a 30 min ride (before tip) to the airport is insane. I can normally take a metered cab from O'Hare to the loop (or vice versa) in Chicago (a ~45 min drive) for $50 including tip.  $35-40 before tip feels like a more reasonable price tag. More...

Like a previous reviewer.  My husband I and I spent a good chunk one morning in taxi hell.  We, as well, dealt with several other cab companies that said they could have a driver arrive only to find out after waiting an hour that it would be about another hour or so before they could send someone.  We were at about wits end when we saw Express RDU Taxi had great reviews, so we decided to give them a call.  We were told that a driver would arrive in about 20 minutes.  Not too long after that, the driver showed up!   He was very pleasant and friendly and was able to deliver us to our location safely and quickly.  I would definitely use them again in the future. My friend and I spent much of yesterday in taxi hell, as my car was unable to ascend the hill in my apartment complex due to ice. We spent well over 90 minutes dealing with another cab company that ultimately flaked out on us. Express Taxi was one of the many other companies we contacted in our desperate attempt to get home. Our driver was in constant contact with us en route and was nothing less than a barrel of fun on the way home. I wish I had thought to get her name.
