Excelsior College Planning

My son started high school in 9th grade feeling confident and excited for his academic journey that he hoped would ultimately lead him to a top tier university. After a few weeks he came home deflated, complaining that many of his peers were taking additional courses to get ahead and he felt they had an edge. I was a bit dismissive, reminding him he was only in 9th grade after all and it’s too early to be planning! Boy, was I wrong. We met with Excelsior who helped him outline his coursework for the four years, plan for summer programs and courses, and discuss different clubs, extracurricular opportunities and internships. Cooper met with Excelsior on a regular basis and as he got closer to ACT and SAT testing, the prep was outstanding. To say that the college application process is daunting is an understatement. Excelsior and their director Olive Bryan was there every step of the way to guide, support and encourage. And here we are now… with an acceptance letter to Stanford University. Thank you Excelsior!
