My husband and I recently used Excalibur to move from an apartment to a townhome in another county. The entire team from the office staff to the movers themselves were very professional and provided excellent service. They were able to move us from our third floor apartment on a hot and humid day into a three story town house in just over six hours including a 40 minute drive between locations. The service was very affordable and all costs were discussed upfront in the estimate provided. Additionally there was no additional charge for moving on a holiday. I hired Excalibur moving for a short distance full service move, the guys were 20 minutes early and were incredibly professional. They went over all of the paperwork with me to make sure I understood the price etc which was well worth it for the quality of service they provided. I've never seen two people work as hard and as quickly as they did, they had the packing and moving down to a science i was really impressed. They were friendly and made my entire moving experience relatively stress free. When they arrived they brought boxes, packing supplies etc. and immediately started boxing/ packing everything up, these guys moved at the speed of light! Excalibur movers made my move process so easy. They insisted to come to my house before I reserved the move to make sure I am getting a good estimate. The estimator, Itai, came to my house the day after and explain me the process; how they work, how they will wrap the furniture, protect my floors and provided me with an estimated for my move, he estimated how many hours it will take to conduct the move. Movers were absolutely amazing. They worked so efficiently as a crew, and the final price was even lower then the estimate I was given, because it took one hour less then what the estimator said it will take. Itai and the staff at Excalibur had to handle a complex and difficult situation: my mother had just died, and they gathered the material from her apartment for storage. They also had to gather items from our own house and hold them until a place came open for our son. They then had to move the stored items, the things from our son's apartment, and some things from my wife's office into our son's new home. Excalibur Movers moved my 3 bedrooms townhouse on December 18,2016. I submitted my info online in one of the website were they provide this info to multiple moving companies. Excalibur were the first to call me and the guy explain everything about the pricing and the way they work, he also gave me a lot of tips about packing etc... He offered me an in-home estimate. He was the only one to offer an in-home estimate. I like this company professionalism over the phone and in person so I decided to go with Excalibur. On move day, 4 men crew arrive on time and start wrapping and loading my furniture and boxes. They were so efficient and synchronized between themselves. They even protected my floors with their carpets on both houses. It took the movers an hour less then the estimate I have received, that means I paid less then the estimate. Excalibur totally changed my moving mind set. I never thought I'd be one to use a moving company partly because I'm frugal. Plus with family and friends around, why not ask them to help you move? But let's be honest. It can get a little awkward when a family member or friend just isn't as careful with your things as you would like them to be. Or sometimes they don't show up or maybe they come late. And then you have to reciprocate when it's time for them to move. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for helping out and I would, but I can't say I'd be the first to volunteer the next time someone needs help moving. It's hard work! And as you get older, it's even harder! Ok I'm not that old, but I'm no spring chicken either. Point is, there are so many things to think/stress about, but Excalibur really helped to relieve most of that moving stress for me. They put me at ease with being careful with my things. They were fast, efficient, and reliable. I don't think that even with help from family and friends we could've moved all of our stuff in the time we wanted to AND not be completely wiped out! I'm all about quality and service especially when it comes to money out of my pocket and let's just say my moving experience with Excalibur was money well spent. I was impressed. I had to go with this company last minute (booked the night previously!) after my previous moving company decided to switch my moving date without notifying me. I was very hesitant at first because as I was canceling with them, the previous moving company kept insisting that Excalibur was a broker, that they would raise my rates when they got to my house, etc. etc. However I decided to take a chance because I absolutely needed to move the next day, and I'm glad I did so! The two movers were very efficient, and very friendly and helpful. Nothing was damaged in the move, and everything was reassembled excellently. The rates were excellent and kept with the estimate. The movers were extremely professional as well! We wanted to buy them lunch but they kept insisting that they wouldn't eat until they were done moving and putting together the furniture because they didn't want us to pay for their break. Excalibur moved us earlier this month, and I can't say enough about how wonderful they were. We had to move out of our condo as well as out of a large jam-packed storage unit. The whole thing took over 8 hours, and even though we way underestimated and only booked them for 5 hours initially, these professional movers worked quickly and efficiently all day long without a word of complaint. When they asked for a break for lunch, I swear they were gone less than 30 minutes. They were very careful with everything, even going so far as to re-tape some boxes to be sure the contents wouldn't fall out. Not a single piece of furniture was damaged in the move. They even covered the stairways in our new home so our carpet wouldn't get dirty. What amazed me the most is that even with so much work to do, if they saw me struggling with something, they would stop to ask if I was OK and needed help. I never used  a moving company before but I just had a baby and my husband and I didn't have time. We were moving from Winchester, VA to Silver Spring, MD. I received a bunch of estimates and I basically just picked one and hoped for the best. The guys did a good job,  they didn't  take a lot of breaks, but I did bring them lunch and water because it's been unusually hot outside lately.  They put my bed back together and they didn't seem to mind.  They really did work hard and I will use them again if I need to in the future.  Also, the final bill was fairly close to what I expected. Like I said, I never used a company before but I'm glad I did, there's so many horror stories about moving companies and I can be honest.....
