I have always had a great experience at this location. Dawn especially does a fantastic professional color and cut. I have several skin allergies and to find a location that uses gentle products with professional styling near my home and reasonably priced, has been a true find. I live near Ergo Aveda and after seeing a groupon for a deep conditioning, cut and blow-out decided to go ahead and give them a shot.
I am very glad I did.
I booked an appointment by phone and the receptionist was very polite getting be a spot on the upcoming weekend.
I arrived and there was pretty much zero wait time. My stylist was Amanda and she was a super nice woman. We talked together about what I wanted (I was going from very long almost to my butt hair to a long bob look). I didn't have a picture or anything but she asked be good questions and gave thoughts on how I could potentially be limited in things I used to do... like pony tails.
She gave a great shampoo job, no scratching at my scalp and wrapped the conditioning treatment with a warm towel ready to go. While waiting for the conditioning treatment, Amanda offered a hand massage which I absolutely accepted. As a mom of 3, I get very little pampering so this was so appreciated.
My cut came out great. Amanda checked as she went on length to ensure I got what I wanted. She taught me a curly/wavy technique that I can easy repeat at home with a flat iron.
Throughout my visit was kept a comfortable conversation going and this is a part of why finding a new stylist is so difficult for me. I don't like small talk and too much silence can also be awkward. Amanda was just the right balance of interested in talking and focused on giving me a great cut.
I will definitely be returning and asking for Amanda.

Ergo Aveda in Northfield is the only place I will get my hair cut. My girls Carolyn and Dawn always take care of me, are on time, very professional and listen to all my hair needs. I have never had my hair overcut by them and have never left unhappy. Georgina is a boss at eyebrows and is the only person I will let touch my eyebrows. She is extremely detail oriented and takes her time. She makes sure to get all the baby hairs. Crystal at the front desk is an absolute delight and always makes me feel welcomed! Highly recommend!
