What do you love most about your job?
I love helping individuals improve their mental health, their relationships, and their overall life-satisfaction. I believe that mental health treatment must include a thorough investigation of an individual's past and present, their personality, the hurtful messages they have received, and the values, goals, and desires of each client. Treatment doesn't stop at simply lessening mental health symptoms but should include the subsequent fostering of joy and meaning in the individuals life as well. I love assisting clients in making discoveries about themselves and finding creative solutions to obstacles and problems that keep them from joy.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I created my own business in order to create the type of space that I believe will be healing and will be a place of rest and relief for people. I believe that therapy and counseling are not only about the relationship between client and therapist and educating client, but also in modeling how to create an environment that fosters peace and tranquility as well.
Why should our clients choose you?
I believe in Schema Therapy and the impact that increased self-awareness has on people's healing process. I believe that therapy shouldn't just focus on past traumas and helping clients give voice to their feelings but that it should also paint a clear picture of practical steps towards change. Many people have told me that their past therapy experiences, while nice, have no provided them with the guidance that they were seeking and that Schema Therapy provided them that guidance and insight that they needed to grow.
