Hard to say what empanada is my favorite. I LOVE the vegetarian ones. The combination of ingredients that may sound unusual such as kale with plantains makes the end result divine. I give her a five star because of the food being perfect. My fiancé had a beef and potato empanada and I had a pulled pork empanada. We shared fries with garlic sauce topping, fenaminal job. The best empanada I have ever tried!! No other can compare. I went to a boxing event & decided to try one. I had chipotle bbq chicken! I had to go back for another one. The food is amazing. I had never had a empanada before and I got the beef one. I wasn't sure my kids would like it. My 9 & 6 year old absolutely loved them. Was intrigued when I saw the truck at the Nutley Farmer's Market this morning. Went with a beef and potato empanada and a spinach and feta empanada. The beef and potato was loaded with perfectly seasoned beef and potatoes in a golden crust that was flaky and not greasy. The spinach and feta was nothing short of amazing. Packed full of the perfect ratio of spinach to feta. The taste was so flavorful not bland like spinach can be. Will definitely follow this truck to try other types soon. More...

I had a delicious kale, sweet plantain and white cheese empanada and the 3 cheesy cheeses. Oh my god, they were incredible! Two of these easily filled me up for a late lunch at the Long Valley Farmer's Market today. These are both vegetarian also, and they have three other veggie options as well. I am so excited that they have a retail cafe in Verona (I live close by in Montclair), so I will be going there for sure! Well done! More...

The mini empanadas were the hit of our 4th of July cookout. Everyone gobbled them up so fast. The salsa dipping sauce adds the perfect kick. We love the Empinada Lady!
