Where do I begin? Emilie and Chad are astounding. I feel so lucky to have had them as my wedding photographers. Emilie is so genuine and connects with you right away. She stayed in contact with me in the months leading up to the wedding to discuss shots and locations. She even scouted out our "Day 1" shoot location, since we are from out-of-state. Once you meet Emilie, you'll feel like you've known her forever. Which makes it so much easier to shoot with her. Chad was a true artist, staying quiet yet quick to get some amazing shots. Our friends raved about how on point our photographers were. I'm always telling people that we hired the best photographers in the state for our wedding, and after working with them, I absolutely know that to still be true. Their style is raw and genuine, not typical and posed. Everything felt natural and our photos perfectly captured our best day ever. My husband and I were lucky enough to have Emilie and Chad photograph our wedding on June 22. WOW, what a dynamic duo. Chad is quiet and captures those candid moments without even realizing he’s there. I honestly feel like our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without them both. Emilie kept the crying toddlers smiling, the party flowing, and all those small details I am so unaware of, she fixed and put into place. Everyone was complimenting us for having the best photographers ever! They went above and beyond driving us to destinations for those WOW wedding shots. Emilie kept my vision alive. I am truly sad this venture with them had come to and end, but am grateful to have had our experiences with them and look forward to being shot by them again! I cannot recommend Appalachian Wedding Photography enough! Emilie and Chad are magicians behind the camera lens. They capture the most special, intimate and candid moments, and make you feel so at ease while they do so. I cannot imagine my wedding last July without them there. From my first call with Emilie, I felt as if I had stumbled upon a long lost friend; she's amazing at putting people at ease. Leading up to the big day, I had numerous phone calls with Emilie where she helped me build out my timeline for the day and truly took the time to understand each tradition and special moment I wanted to incorporate and capture throughout the day. She is the consummate photographer, capturing intimate moments that bring out the essence of each of her subjects with such clarity, which is only possible because she makes everyone feel so relaxed and natural .

Going into this shoot, I was nervous (since I had never been in a photoshoot) but immediately after meeting with Emilie, that dissipated. Her energy is very calming, which does not make it seem like a shoot at all. Her photography style is so natural that you feel at ease, and you forget you are even getting your pictures taken! My fiance and I are OBSESSED with our engagement pictures. We could not be happier. We are SO excited to work with her again, come our wedding in December! Being the subject of a photo shoot can be stressful if you aren't comfortable with the photographer. That will never be the case with Emilie. She exudes such positive energy that you can't help but smile at her. She's having fun! Her creativity brings the unexpected into the photos... like playing the piano with my toes. Chad and Emilie were amazing! We met them in North Carolina whole searching for a venue and the shot our engagement photos. They did such a wonderful job and we felt so comfortable with them that we had them come up to Pennsylvania for our outdoor rented wedding. They shot everything for us. After reviewing her portfolio and speaking with Emilie on the phone, I booked her services for the most special day- my wedding. It is a decision that I could not be happier about. On my first conversation with her, I knew that she could see my vision for my wedding day, and she captured it perfectly. Not only did she capture the perfect moments, but she also gave me inspiration for the events of the day and how to organize them. I got the photographs back today (completely edited and organized in less than three weeks after the ceremony)! Emilie and Chad caught all of the perfect moments. Emilie is one of the most creative, energetic, and FUN people I have ever met. She photographed our family IN THE RAIN during our mountain getaway. Our family members all thought the weather would cause us to cancel the shoot, but Emilie was thrilled that we got to do a photo shoot in the rain.
