Did not have a good experience at all with Emery Catering. I would never recommend Emery to anyone.. The staff was not pleasant to work with and Elizabeth was very unprofessional and her email that she sent to my son and dauther-in-law was rude!

There are no words to describe how happy my wife and I am right now. The group that Emery's Catering sent to work our daughters wedding are the best! . Attentive to everyone's needs, extremely professional and yet somehow we didn't even know they were there. We had 150 guests in attendance and the food was beyond good, everything from the green beans to the filets and chicken were cooked to perfection. Still trying to figure out how the chef cooked 130+ Filets perfectly, the bartenders were engaging, funny and made sure we all had a great night without overserving anyone and the group of servers that worked the tables were all fantastic I cant say enough about them and the whole Emery's Team. I didn't hear one complaint from anyone that attended about anything. The Five Bridge Inn recommended Emery's Catering to us and what a recommendation that turned out to be. Emery's was a recommended vendor for Five Bridge Inn where we had our wedding. The last couple of weeks before the wedding were quite stressful and Emery's was a big part of this stress. Liz worked with us and was very quick to respond to our emails; however there were a lot of miscommunications. We came up with a floor plan/ table layout with our venue coordinator and sent it to Emery's weeks before the event. Emery's decided to make their own layout, ignoring the sizing and placement of the tables. After several phone calls and emails with Emery's and the venue, we were able to ensure the placement was correct. But, three days before the wedding, we learned that Emery's had only ordered linens for small tables. They claimed that was what we wanted despite our written documentation of plans to use a mix of small and large tables. At this point, they also let us know it was too late for them to order the correct linens despite this being their mistake. All through the process they were responsive and flexible so we could do exactly what we wanted, and they supported our vision in every way. They never tried to upsell us and the service we received was very much affordable and worth the price. The day of coordinator was fantastic and made sure everything ran very smoothly. Loved our experience with Emerys from start to finish! Our wedding at the Towers was perfect thanks to Emerys. They were able to field all of our questions leading up to the wedding and executed such a wonderful event. So reasonably priced compared to other catering companies and they never tried to upsell or push us to do anything we did not want to do. Several guests still commenting on how great the buffet was. (Elizabeth Silver was the Manager/Event Coordinator we worked with). Emery's was AMAZING. Elizabeth is a true professional. She was unphased by the many dietary restrictions and allergies of our guests and accomodated every single one flawlessly. She also had great idea for sanitary, COVID-conscious serving methods and food presentation. She obtained kosher meals, gluten-free rolls, vegan entrees, and even had a special meal cooked for one guest who has allergies to many common ingredients. All of that AND by far the cheapest quote from caterers. The food was fresh, local, and delicious. They also did mocktails, provided a licensed bartender, and did amazing cocktail hour snacks! She even managed to fulfill our wish for mini cupcakes shaped like mushrooms (also vegan!) and sparkling cider for our guests. We also rented all our tables/linens/dance floor/chairs, etc. from Emery's, which made everything easy and organized. They provided high quality of service every step of the way. Bride Beware. Things happen and wedding dates get changed, which is hard enough on the heart. I reached out to Liz and she had told me in order to switch my date I would need to forfeit half my deposit and come up with more money (this wasn’t a week before this was 7 months before my initial set date. ) I signed a contract which stated the deposit was non refundable (obviously) but nothing stated I needed to forfeit money and come up with more. After bringing that up to them, they stated they can’t list all their policies on their contract… Then why issue and sign one if your stipulations are to change. Then I decided to move forward and lose half my money. They play games say they need the money that day and coincidentally Liz had another couple looking to book out from TWO YEARS FROM NOW ON A THURSDAY??? I think not, clearly scamming and I am so happy I backed away from the whole situation. My day was amazing and had a reliable trustworthy caterer with ALL their stipulations stated on their contract like they should. Food was nice but terrible service!! Due to Covid we downsized people around to 30, it was such a small but beautiful wedding in Glen Manor House. Elizabeth was well communicated and organized throughout the planning process. Using their online form I reached out explaining the date of my event and amount of people. Within 24 hours I had a response from Rebecca in my email with the catering menu. I was on vacation at the time so I didn't realize until 5 days later she had replied but once I had, I replied with my estimated head count, menu and a couple questions. Days went by with no word but again I was on vacation myself so I wasn't thinking of it. When I got back, I reached out again and even added another couple dishes to me menu request. Two days later Rebecca replies again telling me they're booked. Seemed to me that a larger, better party came along and I got bumped. Two weeks out from the 50th anniversary I'm planning for my parents. I never got to work with them and I'm extremely disappointed in how they handled themselves in the limited space we interacted. Be ware, looking at reviews it seems I'm not the only one this happened to. When they reply, be sure to confirm with them that they're actually available for your date before they get your hopes up. I echo what another customer wrote. Liz was easy to communicate with, very responsive. However, I had a proposal set and within 2 weeks of that a tasting/finalizing scheduled. As with any wedding vendor, we messaged a lot about the details, which was a lot of work for both of us. I was happy with how the proposal turned out and in my mind set on choosing Emery to cater my wedding unless the tasting was terrible. However they emailed me in the evening four days before the tasting to say they no longer had my date available. I asked about having a day wedding catered instead as we had the venue all day, and they said they couldn’t accommodate my date at all. I had no prior warning they would take back the proposal. I cannot say enough good things about Emery's!! They made sure that our 6/3/22 wedding at the Roger Williams Park Botanical Center ran perfectly. Our guests all raved about the food, which was delicious - everyone especially loved the mac and cheese shooter appetizers and the soft pretzels as a late-night snack! Several of our guests had food allergies or dietary restrictions which Emery's was able to accommodate with no problems. The service was also impeccable - the staff was friendly, attentive, and kind, keeping things running smoothly without being pushy. They frequently checked on my husband and I throughout the night, and brought us a plate of our appetizers without being asked. Liz also made the planning process extremely easy, despite us having to postpone twice due to the pandemic. We were a bit disorganized in the weeks prior to the wedding and made several last-minute decisions and changes, all of which Liz handled easily, as well as coordinating with our other vendors. She really helped us execute our vision while providing helpful suggestions about the layout of the venue and timeline of the event. On the day of, the team set up all of our rented and DIY elements perfectly, then broke them down and repacked everything securely at the end of the night. Their pricing is also extremely reasonable compared to other caterers in the region, without sacrificing anything in quality or service.
