Emerging Path Counseling provides individual therapy to adolescents and adults over the age of 16 years old. Family therapy is available for individuals wishing to work on communication difficulties that are already enrolled in services. We specialize in the treatment of Anxiety and Trauma related disorders.

Counseling involves the sharing of personal problems, concerns, and stories with a professional who is skilled at helping the client or clients come to a resolution or solution to the particular situation. Counseling is a relatively short-term, interpersonal, theory based professional activity that focuses on helping people identify the issues, develop a plan of action, and then implement that plan.

Stephanie's understanding of counseling comes from many different theoretical orientations, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral and Solution-Focused theories. She believes that people have the solutions to their dilemmas within themselves and that she helps to facilitate the process of finding those solutions.

We have the freedom to choose what direction our life takes and the responsibility to take control of that freedom.
