I have a cattle dog (blue heeler) just over a year old. I got him at 9 weeks old but as he started growing, he began to show fear and aggression toward dogs and people. I worked with a behavior trainer who helped begin to get him over his fear and aggression and taught me how to start taking him out in public. Myself and the dog needed more. Ruger needed more experiences around other dogs, he was still struggling around people and I needed to learn more about handling and training a dog. I found Belynda at Frontier Park. She was giving lessons and I was walking Ruger. One of Belynda's clients approached me as I was walking Ruger and was able to see the aggressive reaction from my dog. Belynda kindly came up and introduced herself to me. I appreciated her approach as she was not pushy and did not sell herself as a dog trainer or start telling me what she could do for me. I asked if she thought there was more that could be done to help my dog, she said “yes”. She also kindly let me know on her own will, how to properly adjust my training collar that I had on wrong. She gave me her card. She didn't know if I was working with anyone else at that time and told me to think about it. I did just that, and within days gave her a call. What was nice is that the first session scheduled is an orientation where Belynda will assess the dog and discuss what you want to learn and what you want out of the training. She will identify the dog's needs and determine the length of training sessions that would be best suited. She is very thorough and honest during this time. She will share her experiences and knowledge and answer any questions up front. I scheduled an 8-week training session. This has been the best experience for me and my dog and worth every dollar. I have learned how to teach my dog obedience commands and learn how to handle him. I learned things I needed to change in myself in order to communicate better with my dog. Belynda is very good about working one on one and ensuring you as the handler knows how to get through to the dog. She will show you how to teach your dog the proper commands and demonstrate maneuvers so you understand what they should look like and then she will have you be the one working with the dog and teach you how to do it. I learned I needed to become more confident, be more outgoing and praise and reward my dog more. Belynda dedicates her time to you as the client. If you have questions, be sure to bring them with you and she will answer them. My dog has greatly improved since working with Belynda. He has also gained some positive experiences being around other dogs and socializing by attending group lessons with her other clients. This has been the most rewarding time for my dog. He also absolutely loves Belynda and cannot wait to see her at lessons. She has become his best friend! I highly recommend learning from Belynda and becoming involved with her training program. Remember as the handler, if you are investing in training to be sure to go home and put the time in practicing if you want to better yourself and the dog and get the most out of your training. I have many hours into working with my dog and we still have more to learn. My plan is to continue our training program with Belynda. More...

Belynda knows exactly what she’s doing. She helped us save our very high needs, high anxiety dog. We still have work to do but the private training sessions we took with her helped my husband and I understand what our dog needed from us and what he is telling us with his body language. We went to 7 or so sessions and some group sessions (and continue to when we can) and my family can attest that our rescue is a completely new dog and is now able to have the loving home he deserves. I have an 8 mo old Malinios, my dream dog. I needed a coach, not a friend, to help take me to the next level. After checking out a few different trainers, I found Belynda to be the most knowledgeable and skilled trainer. She has helped me take my training to the next level. Her years of expertise brings me a great level of confidence to know I have a plan ahead of me that will set me and my dog up for sustained success. More...

Belynda is amazing! My husband and I have attended multiple obedience classes in the past and this has been BY FAR the most beneficial. The different techniques she uses to train our pup have been a game changer! More...

Highly recommended. Cooper has been going here since August 2018. The transformation with him has been amazing. No other trainers wanted to work him. Belynda took him on with no questions as provided some excellent training. Cooper and I will be going here for awhile. Plus he likes hanging out with the other dogs that always show up. More...

have been taking classes from Belynda for 5 years - my dogs love it and her. The best thing is she trains the people to know what to expect and how to react so the dogs learn what is expected of them.

Our 3 year old standard poodle Annie had an aggressive behavior problem, over the years we took her to obediance training and even had an in house trainer come and put her thru a boot camp. We ended up with a dog that obeyed commands, but was still aggressive at times. We just finished Beylinda's eight week course, and the difference is remarkable. Not only is Annie better solcialized, we now have the tools to continue Annies improvement, We were not invited to the bi-monthly group sessions until after week six, these sessions are also a good learning experience for handler and dog. One of the keys to Beylinda's teaching is explaining to the owners why and how to do the various training exercises. At each session we would go over our good and bad experiences from the previous week and she would explain to us how to turn the bad ones into good ones.Jeff and Carol Sayer More...
