I have to tell anyone who is looking for a great photographer, Emily is the best! My now husband and I were looking for someone who’s photographic eye would truely capture the essence our wedding day. These memory’s are so important to us. Emily, Ellusive Photograpy, was not only professional, personable and gave us ease while photographing that day, but her talent and artistic eye captured some of our most beautiful moments. I find myself to often, looking at our wedding photos again and again because they make me feel like our wedding was just yesterday. I will also add, it is never easy to put a wedding together and feel confident you have the right photographer. Emily’s quality of work far surpasses what I would compare to the extremely expensive photographers in the industry. She is fairly priced, and and at the same time is worth much more. This put us at ease. So just to emphasize, her creativity, quality of light and connectedness to who she is photographing, shines through on our wedding portfolio of our special day. 10000% recommend. Amazing photographer & even better person. Since our wedding was a destination we had to narrow down alot of our vendors via internet searches. From the moment we met Emily she made us feel comfortable & relaxed. She was always available and quickly responded to my random emails. Emily was so helpful: doing recon of our destination beforehand to find great picture locations, offering vendor recommendations, and much more! The day of Emily was invisible in the best way! She was never in people’s faces or blocking their way during the ceremony or reception. She snuck around the whole time taking amazing pictures. She was organized and ready to move the whole time. I'm SO happy I took a chance when I saw Elusive Photography's ad on Facebook. I don't usually pull the trigger on something like this, but when I saw Emily's portfolio of pictures, I just knew she was the photographer I wanted to book for my kids' first professional photography shoot. Her Reverie pictures are otherworldly! So beautiful and imaginative and unlike any pictures I've ever seen before. She gave my 7 and 9 year old artistic license for their ideas (I loved that!), and because of that, the pictures came out amazing and better than we could have imagined! What a great eye Emily has for capturing stunning images, and then transforming those images into something extraordinary. Now my girls will forever have images of them as mermaids and dragon riders (which is what they picked). My husband and I's only regret is that we didn't dress up for the shoot and do family pictures. Amazing person and amazing photographs! We met Emily a year before our wedding and instantly liked her. She was easy to talk to, took time to get to know us, and really was understanding of my nervousness around a camera. She took amazing pictures for us during an engagement session (they made the best Christmas cards that year) and we couldn’t wait to have her photograph our wedding! When our wedding day rolled around, she was amazing. The day of she was amazingly accommodating, reassuring, and just an overall friendly face to be around with just the two of us as we did our first look and pictures with just the two of us before our ceremony. I was nervous, once again, and she was funny, super personable, and overall the most calming part of my day. She turned around our pictures faster than I expected and I couldn’t believe them! So many brought actual tears to my eyes. Our venue was extremely rustic and Emily made it absolutely shine in photographs! She also managed to capture me looking happy and peaceful - which is a feat. We were lucky enough to work with Emily twice in the past year. She was our wedding photographer and she took newborn photos of our daughter. Emily is so professional and kind. I was nervous for the newborn shoot because my baby was so young and we hadn’t gone anywhere since bringing her home. Emily made me feel so relaxed in her studio. She was extremely good with calming the baby. My husband and I got a chance to sit back and enjoy some coffee while she did all the work. Before the photo shoot Emily sent us instructions and tips to help the shoot go smoothly. She talked us into doing a family photo that we did not intend on doing and we’re so glad that we did! I contacted Emily inquiring about doing a maternity shoot and I'm so happy I did. She was extremely responsive, informative and accommodating from the start.
She was even more than happy for our pup to be part of the shoot. We met on a cold day in November and enjoyed our time with her. She guided us on poses, locations as well as made us feel comfortable and relaxed. We also had a newborn shoot done when our daughter was 8 days old. She came to our house, set up and brought so many wonderful tools and props. She even brought a space heater and heating pad! Emily was so patient, as our girl was very fussy which was of course expected, and she even held her so lovingly to help our girl relax.
The photos are so beautiful and I'm so happy we will have these to treasure forever. You don't get that time back and Emily captured those moments for us. Thank you again and we look forward to future shoots as our girl grows.
