We had a reservation and ended up waiting an hour after we were seated and still didn’t have 2 hamburgers. The server name came around for refills of our drinks. We ended up leaving without getting our food More...

Went here with a large group on a Sunday afternoon. The service and food were great. Our only real complaint was the lack of shade where we were sitting. There were no blinds or other window coverings, so people sitting on one side of the table had to squint in the sunlight throughout the meal - not the best experience. The consensus among the group was that the burgers were great. Our group also tried the cheese curds, burrata, chicken salad sandwich, prime rib sandwich and a couple of flatbreads. I also had a huge side order of the Maui chips - fantastic! I saw a really unique flatbread on the menu and had to try it. Called the Ella's flatbread, it had apples, blue cheese, fontina cheese, coppa, and caramelized onion with a balsamic drizzle. Yeah... not my favorite - but it was unique. I also ate about a quarter of my wife's Ella Burger - with mushrooms, caramelized onion, bacon and aged cheddar. That was awesome! More...

Stopped in tonight for our Friday fish fry. Sorry I didn't take a pic.  If you are stopping in and they have the Pretzel crusted whitefish served on a bed of fettuccine noodles I tell no lies!  My grandson tried it and said this is the best fish fry ever!  Two thumbs up!  I kid you not this kid is one of the most Finicky kids that there is. For him to say he likes something it's a miracle. He wants to return and order an entire meal just for him and not share grandma's Kid tested grandma approved Bon appétit More...

Last night was our first time at Ella's...it will probably be the last time! We sat at the bar for a drink and dinner. My husband had the walleye almandine and I had the chicken salad sandwich. We asked for a description of both items (ie. ingredients and method of preparation) but neither the bartender or waitress could describe very well what we were asking about. That should have been the first red flag. The walleye was acceptable but not great for a fish fry. However, the chicken salad sandwich was a huge amount of mayonnaise with canned chicken and 3 or 4 grapes halves and 3 slices of celery on a croissant. It had NO flavor and was soupy! These items were served at least 45 minutes after ordering. We had arrived early (4:30pm) since we had to be somewhere by 6:30. There was no follow up from either the bartender or waitress...terrible customer service. More...

Went last night with my wife and another couple. The food was good but after I reviewed my bill today I was charged $5.50 for a 16oz Riverwest Stein beer no problem, that seems to be the going rate. Unfortunately when I looked at my glass of beer and reviewed the writing on the glass it read 40 CL which equals 13.525 US fluid ounces. Next time please charge me accordingly. More...

So for starters we chose to have an appetizer.  we chose to have the Portabella mushrooms.  the first taste of the Portabella mushrooms send your eyes rolling around in your head like a slot machine in Vegas!  the flavors just bouncing all around it's amazingly delicious. The beer, that was brewed elsewhere, was good. We started with the super salty cheese curds. Next, I had the watery potato soup that they list on the menu as Clam Chowder. The second beer, that was brewed elsewhere, was good. The fried chicken (5 pieces: 2 breasts, 1 wing, 1 leg, 1 thigh) was worse than reheated, day old grocery store fried chicken. They trim 2/3 of the meat off the breasts (probably to make something else) before cooking it, and is mostly just bones. Our waiter was a good kid and was right up there with the beer. Probably trained elsewhere first. More...

We went here for Mother's Day Brunch. Â It wasn't crowded but we ended up waiting over an hour for our food. Â Which if the food was good, I wouldn't have minded - but it was sub par. Â I ordered avocado toast, they forgot a few of the ingredients. Â It was scrambled eggs on toast with some avocado slices on top - that is it. Â It was dry and flavorless. Â The avocado wasn't ripe and was hard. Â My husband ordered prime rib eggs benedict. Â The hollandaise sauce was thin and very little of it. Â The waffles were ok - but nothing outstanding. Â The egg sandwich - again I could have made it at home better. Â All together the food cost around 45 dollars. Â Our bill was 75. Â We ordered two coffees and four juices - no mimosas, no bloody mary's, no specialty coffee - just juice and regular coffee for $30. Â It was not worth our time or money - very disappointing. Little disappointed with serving sizes... 1/2 a piece of rye bread, 20 fries. All the food was good. Had to ask server for bill and to come back to pick up our payment.

Tried Ella's takeout fish fry on 4/23/21. Place was very busy and too a short wait to get our online order. I ordered the 3 piece baked cod with potato pancakes while my wife ordered the 2 piece battered cod with fries. The food was still hot when we picked it up but my order was messed up. I was given 3 pieces of battered cod instead of the baked cod. We were late to meet family so we didn't go back to have the order fixed. That said, the battered fish was excellent as was everything else. I will go back to try the baked fish sometime soon. The rating reflects the messed up order, not the quality of the food. Also, staff was wearing masks, customers not very much even while waiting in line to be seated or getting takeout orders. More...

Called to ask about reservations for large party on a Friday night and was told for parties of 6 or more, and made our reservations the day before . When we arrived on time I was told they didn't have our party of 9 listed . The hostess seemed overwhelmed , and it appeared that things were chaotic with staff . Once we were seated it took almost an hour and a half to get our food . No explanation as to why we had to wait that long. More...

Waited for a table, split our group which was fine. Messed up two orders. We're out of breasted chicken, so a person in our group changed. The second table our drinks didn't come for 45 minutes, pretzel appetizer came after an hour of sitting here. When our food was served, one of the plates didn't come and they said they were out of what she ordered. She then had to place another order and waited for that. The waitress came back to check and make sure she put in the correct order after 15 minutes. Kitchen was slow, a lot of errors tonight. More...
