Elizabeth creates truly beautiful work! She photographed my family, including our 12-month old, on the beach this summer, and the final images turned out stunning. Elizabeth was very easygoing and fun to work with, and clearly skilled at what she does. She expertly positioned us so the wind was always blowing the hair away from our faces, and, being a mom herself, she knew just what to do to get our cranky baby smiling for the pictures. We booked Elizabeth to do a sunrise beach shoot with my family while vacationing in Wrightsville. She was so easy to work with before, during, and after the shoot. She managed to take some amazing photos of us and our 3 children under the age 5. She was so wonderful with the kids, who were not the easiest models!! She came up with different and creative ways to keep them entertained while also getting them to be a part of some adorable candid shots. When I told her that my parents and some other family members might join, Elizabeth was more than accommodating and was great about getting shots of all involved. She was also very responsive to any communication prior to and after we received our pictures (e.g. helped answer any questions we had about wardrobe or location, helping order prints/canvases to display, etc.). Baby Stella due in December so Ryan and I had been looking for a photographer for several months to take some newborn shots, not posed or with props, just of our little one in all of her wrinkly new perfection. Early on we also threw around the idea of a maternity shoot but a part of me just couldn’t imagine being pregnant and photographed! We had what can only be described as ‘not so great’ experience with our wedding photographer so were obviously wary about hiring another professional photographer.

Then I met Elizabeth.

She shot my friends wedding, arriving in the early afternoon to capture the bridal party as we got dressed. Watching her as she set up shots of the bride, and all of the many details that make up that special day I started to think.. maybe she would be open to newborn pictures. I saw her website, felt like someone delivered a custom photographer just for me! I love her style, how you can truly feel the spirit of the moment in all of her pictures. Even when she sets up poses, they don’t look staged or fake. They’re beautiful.

Pregnancy is such a rollercoaster, this has truly been the wildest ride of my life. If there is anything I’m sure about now its that I can’t believe I almost let this moment pass me by without capturing it. I feel blessed to have met Elizabeth, I LOVE how our maternity photos came out. I can’t get enough! I’m excited to see what she comes up with for our little one and am relieved to have found someone who I hope beyond hope will stick around in Wilmington for a long time to capture all of our biggest moments. We had the privilege for Elizabeth to photograph my grandsons. Her patience and enthusiasm was amazing during the photo shoot with the boys. 18 months and 8 months are challenging aging to get the perfect shot,however Liz let the boys lead although she had control of the lens. We booked Elizabeth to take Senior pictures of my daughter who is at UNCW. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. We had to reschedule the shoot at the last minute and she was understanding and accommodating. She then spent an entire afternoon taking photos at several locations in the Wilmington area while capturing some amazing photos of my daughter. We are having a hard time picking our favorites from the gallery because they are all beautiful! Elizabeth was incredible to work with! She was very relaxed, fun and patient with my 2.5 year old and 9 month old. We loved that she took her time with us in a variety of settings. We chose the beach and appreciated her attention to detail and willingness to photograph us in different backgrounds - the ocean, rocks, trees, etc. to keep things interesting. Elizabeth took our engagement photos in downtown Wilmington with our dog Brutus. She was amazing to work with, easy to get a hold of prior to the photo shoot to answer all of our questions, and incredibly flexible with our schedule. She did an amazing job capturing moments with my fiance and I outside of the normal stand and smile. She was even about to capture our dog's attention to take some amazing photos of the three of us. Elizabeth is an amazing photographer and knows how to work with children and large groups! We arranged for Elizabeth to take family photos of my entire family, which included a four year old and twin two year olds, to celebrate my Mom's birthday! Elizabeth is an excellent photographer and a delightful person. How she was able to remain calm and capture perfectly timed and lighted photos while my toddler and two dogs were not listening and I was obnoxiously behind her "helping", I'll never know! But the real difference was the purchasing experience. Rather than emailing me and leaving it in my hands, she set an appointment and presented the photos in a relaxed atmosphere. She explained the different photo textures and which ones would be better in different formats (I'm probably using incorrect terms here). None the less, it made me feel confident about my decisions.
