The facility is clean and very spacious. I had a great time practicing hitting baseballs here. I also witnessed a local girls lacrosse team practicing inside while it was cold outside. Seems like just about any type of sport could be done here like soccer or dodgeball, etc. Most importantly the owner has a really good heart for the community and local sports teams. More...

My son decided he wanted to play basketball so we signed him up for a season at a local church to get his feet wet. He quickly progressed to a season with a rec league. He enjoyed it but didn't feel exceptionally challenged. He experienced Hoops N Sand (HNS) for Spring Break and this was the turning point. We joined the traveling team late in the Spring season and there's been no looking back. With the coaching leadership at HNS, his skills have dramatically improved. He's not just shooting hoops, he's PLAYING real basketball, learning plays, learning/earning respect, and developing communication skills which will not only benefit him with his team but all throughout his life. We were fortunate enough to enroll him in summer classes for both skills and conditioning. All I can say is WOW!!! These kids get concentrated time for learning plays, defensive moves, offensive moves, passing, and more. They also do conditioning skills that prevent them from getting tired out 10 minutes into the game. It is not for the faint of heart but the kids really enjoy it. If your child is really interested in learning how to play basketball properly then HNS is definitely the place to get that foundation and building blocks which will lead them to being successful in middle or high school basketball, and possibly beyond.
