Ev is a supremely professional and talented individual who really worked well to translate our 50,000 foot concepts into real world choices. She listened carefully and creatively crafted recommendations to assist in advancing our project. Without her most able assistance, I seriously doubt that we would have made as much progress on refining our project as we have. I am sure that she has saved us several weeks of effort, immeasurable levels of stress and from making mistakes that we would regret sooner rather than later. We will continue to tap into her expertise and design creativity as we progress through this undertaking. Total project involves painting flooring replacement and remodel of 2 bathrooms estimated to cost about $40,000.

Ev provided a quality professional experience. She had excellent taste and made knowledgeable suggestions but never pushed her ideas on us. She was prompt and provided clear value for her fee. We were extremely pleased with the results which included reupholstering a sofa, loveseat, overstuffed chair, six dining room chairs and two bench cushions. Ev came out & surveyed our property, observing architectural design, natural lighting, location & surrounding geography, & together with my love of certain color directions, came up with a color palette for the exterior of our 6,000+ sq. ft. house + detached garage, & wrought iron railing, that I love & am excited to execute. I was amazed at how she was able to pull out colors from her paint fan & put them together to create what I never would have been able to accomplish on my own. Evanne provided recommendations on flooring for three rooms, plus some ideas on wall color. She knows just which colors work best and which materials will produce the desired effect. She asks all the right questions to get a sense of a client’s desire for the type of environment to create for a particular room – whether the choice is for a neutral, peaceful, or energetic space. I appreciated that I could rely on her experience for advice about color choices for smaller spaces.

Evanne recommended vinyl flooring both for kitchen and office that really looks like wood, and is durable. Given that both stone and wood flooring can be so expensive, she has a keen perspective on how to save a homeowner expense, and still deliver a quality product. Evanne’s overall process includes measuring floor spaces, color schemes, wall finishes up to and including wall paper, different floor materials, style, and most importantly, considering the client’s perspective for an overall delightful change. I hired Evanne at Elgdesign to design three rooms for me. I presented my budget to her, as well as specifics that were important to me; colors, an entertainment center, and the integration of some of my old furniture with the new pieces that she would get for me.
She also recommended paint colors that would transform what felt dark and closed in to a more open, warm, yet calming environment that would even make my old furniture look better. I loved her plan.
The work is complete and it's hard to believe that these are the same rooms that were there a few months ago. I love the details, including the decorative pieces and the lighting, which was the icing on the cake!
Evanne is a pro and I recommend her highly.

To begin with, the company representative, Ev, did a thorough consultation. The two hours I spent with her were worth every minute. I called on her primarily because I wanted to change the interior colors of my home. I had put some thought into the changes I wanted to make, but her ideas were superior to anything I had considered. When the work was completed, I was ecstatic. My home looks so much better. The color schemes complement each and every room. The accent colors in my living room are especially striking and have made this room look more elegant (which was my goal). I will be working with Ev again soon to remodel my bathrooms,
