Drive by after my car wash- this place looked cute and promising as I just moved to the area. Walked inside- place is modern and spotless! Great relaxing atmosphere with music. It was tough because I was by myself but I wanted to order 5 things to try! I needed up getting homemade corn tortilla chips with salsas, a side of guacamole and Street tacos. Way too much food to eat! The tacos were huge- the corn tortilla was amazing and home made. Salsas and chips great! I did not notice if the  pomegranate seeds were in the guacamole as the menu advertised. I'd add more if it was me. Also the one thing I'd say to improve on was making sure there was no fat left on the carne asada when stuffing the taco- but honestly I'd order again no problem! Wonderful stop on the way to Palm Springs. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito and husband had the chipotle burrito with steak. Both were amazing flavors. We spoke with the chef who turned out to be the owner. I asked about them being served on metal trays. That hadn't been the plan but working during COVID-19. This restaurant is worth going to! We were driving back from Az and needed lunch. My husband found this on Yelp and I am so glad we stopped here! This place is legit Mexican food in the valley!  Love the decor. It is simple and clean. The service was so good. We are from out of town and they made feel right at home. The food. Let me start by saying man I wish I started coming to this place sooner. I read a review that this place is a hidden gem and it truly is. Came here Friday night. Me and the wife got fresca. The pineapple lemonade is amazing and my wife loved the blueberry. We tried the epindadas  which were fantastic. Some of the best I've ever had. The steak burrito which was also perfectly made and tasted as fresh as can be. It had a crispy tortilla which is always a plus. Also had the tacos sample with as pastor which was to die for, carne asada which was a little fatty but the flavor was awesome and the carnitas. The tortillas are made in house and we're awesome. Let's just say this place is one of the best places in the valley and I will be returning very soon. They offer a bottomless champagne option on weekends. Check this place out. Wow! The tacos are amazing. Normally go to Tapatio, well not sure we will be doing that any longer. This place is a hidden gem, you have got to try it! My wife said this is the new spot. I started following them in social media and was intrigued to visit we were in the area and decided to stop, walked in and was greeted I was amazed at how beautiful and aesthetically pleasing it is. Food was great, we ordered mole enchiladas and 3 street tacos which were very well seasoned as compared to other places. Salsas were good but personal preference I like my salsa spicy. Well! That was really great lunch! I really enjoyed eating here today. Fried Cauliflower, yes! Perfect taste. 2 tacos on homemade corn tortilla - delicious. I especially liked the Roja Poblano. Their blueberry lemonade was refreshing.  Oh their spicy salsa was sweat dripping hot! Lol. El Pecadoi is a refreshing new Mexican restaurant with a twist. Their menu caught my eye with things like birriia ramen, southwest egg rolls and bacon wrapped dates. My partner and I ordered several things to share such as the tempura cauliflower bites, bacon wrapped dates, and the small guacamole and chips. The cauliflower was very good. It was almost like a buffalo sauce that they were tossed in but their online menu says a chipotle sauce. The bacon wrapped dates were super tasty. I was disappointed with the guacamole though. In the restaurant the menu said that the guacamole has lime and pomegranate seeds. I didn't see any pomegranate seeds in it when I tried it, so I asked the waitress if it was in there. She said no because they were out of season. That was the only reason I ordered it was because it sounded different with the pomegranate. They should change their menu to reflect that.We also ordered beer. They were out of three draft beers listed on the menu. Luckily they had quite a few others to choose from.The rest of the food was great too. We had the empanadas with carnitas, quesabirria and tacos. The presentation was really cool. I like their little salsa cups, the cup the lemons were served in and the boards some of the food was served are really cool and embossed with the restaurant's logo. I had an amazing experience here. Their interior is pretty and tidy and the staff was very friendly. My husband and I went on a Sunday at 11am for some late breakfast. I got the mole enchiladas and asked for no beans and extra rice. My husband got the verde chilaquiles with beans and he added a side of rice and chicken on it. It was to say the least delicious. Get here! This place is worth the 5 stars. Rosie was cordial and responsive with her service and recommendations. We had carnitas tacos that were tender with crisp edges in a delicious fresh corn tortilla. They call them street tacos but they are twice the size as that. The red and green sauces were pleasantly spicy. Also we had Rajás Poblanas and the Quesabirria. OMG the Rajás Poblanas is so delicious that I want to eat it again and I just ate. So flavorful and rich. The Quesabirria is tender and flavorful. I'm not a beef eater so this isn't my jam, but my wife loved her taco. Where to begin!? I've been here several times and every time I have gone it's a pleasant experience. The food is absolutely mouth watering. I personally loveeeee the birria grilled cheese ughhh it's so damn good! The blueberry lemonade is refreshing I highly recommend that as well. They don't have their liquor license just yet but they're hoping to get it soon, they do have beer and wine though. Oooh i can't forget about the presentation, they use authentic tin plates from Guadalajara as well as wooden cutting boards with their logo which is also from Guadalajara. Read very positive Yelp reviews about El Pecado and couldn't wait to check it out. The food was so tasty and the owners were friendly and accommodating. We had their hot dog and it was amazing. The condiments on hot dog were unique, and you'll never have another hot dog so delicious. We also tried several of their tacos on tortillas that looked tasted like homemade.  The rajas taco was the best! The restaurant has a very modern , serene setting! One side of the walls is draped with plants which gives the feeling of connection to the outdoor. As you enter the restaurant, you will see the painted scene of Coachella in grey and white, very catchy yet simple. The interior is extremely clean. Good mexican food in the Coachella valley is a given. Finding a mexican restaurant that stands above the rest is a challenging task. El Pecado piqued my interest with menu items that are unusual and some I've never seen. We gave it a try and it lived up to its five star rating.
