This is the absolute best Chinese I've had in Austin for a great price!! Huge servings for their dinner plates. My boyfriend and i had the combination fried rice & the general tso chicken. This place right off the main road is pretty easy to find. I was craving chinese food and came across this place. The menu had the typical chinese food of fried rice, general tso's chicken, mongolian beef, etc. I ordered pork fried rice. They use the red chinese red bbq pork. The fried rice was fantastic. It was not as oily other chinese places I have tried. They cut big chunks of pork. The pork had great flavor. It was not too sweet. And the amount that you get is a lot. Be ready to eat it for multiple meals. All for about $9.50. If you check-in on yelp, you get a free vegetable eggroll. I am not too fond of vegetable egg rolls but it was free and thought I would try it. And they are a to-go place primarily. Only a couple of chairs to sit down and wait. I've been eating at Egg Roll Express for the past several years and I've never had a single disappointing experience in approximately 30 visits. This restaurant is a hit or miss as it has a quality control problem. My family has been with them before they moved over to there new location. Their food is very good and we always order the general tso chicken. My advice to the restaurant is when customer says extra crispy, please make the chicken crispy and fry it longer. Egg roll express did not disappoint. We just moved to the area and we're hungry after a long day at the creek. They had good reviews so I went for it! We got the general tso chicken and the Kung Pao. First off! For dinner you really only need one entree because it's large enough to share, but you will probably need an extra rice if you're sharing ( my bf can eat a whole rice by himself practically)Both were very good! I've ordered from Egg Roll Express several times and I love it! Portions are big enough for my hubby and I to share a dinner for one when we never do, and we sometimes still have left overs. This place is amazing. I have converted all of my friends and my entire staff into loyal customers. We order for my hotel workers at least once a quarter and they all love it. I’ve had a great experience every time I’ve gone for lunch. Super close to my work so sometimes I indulge in their awesome lunch specials. I always get combo fried rice which comes with a side of soup (of your choice) and an egg roll. Total turns out to be $8.11 which is awesome because their portions are filling. Well what can I say, I'm putting these guys' kids through college with how often we order takeout from Eggroll. We LOVE this place. It's def one of our favorites for takeout. The food is always top notch; big portions and super yummy. The delivery is like stupid fast most of the time (10 mins) and during peak times, the longest we waited was 40 mins, which is great compared to anywhere else.
