I came here to explore Fullerton and came across this place for brunch. My boyfriend and I ordered the avocado toast and one of the egg sandwiches. The avocado toast is amazing. The toast is perfectly crispy on the edges and chewy in the center. I loved that there was a lot of avocado smash and tomatoes on it as well. If you love avocado toast, I recommend this place. I found egg bred as an alternative to in n out on an Easter Sunday since it was closed. I ordered the rib eye steak sandwich and was a bit disappointed that the thinly shaved beef was bunched together like a burger and the flavor was quite muddled. My friend had the Ben Franklin and I found that to be much tastier, cleaner, and distinct in flavor even though I never choose ham by choice! I was next door at Bodhi Leaf studying and drinking my coffee as I kept seeing people go in and out of EggBred. I decided to order online and pick up my order so I didn't have to wait. The burger far exceeded my expectations. The egg perfectly complimented the burger with the tangy flavor from the sauce and the sour factor coming from the dill pickles. It was SO GOOD. I immediately wanted another one after. The beer battered fries were so delicious as well. It's not your typical French fry; it's a bit airy on the inside and has a nice crunch. Honestly exceeded my expectations! The truffle crunch was my favorite! The flavors are very umami and the oozing egg yolks + juicy patties compliments  each other so well including the cheese! My sister and I wanted a quick breakfast bite in the area and found this place. I got The Ben Franklin sandwich and my sister got the cheddar chive biscuit and gravy side and a cold brew. The sandwich was as tasty as it looked. The English muffin had a nice chew and slight toasted crisp to it and the ham was well seasoned. I wished the arugula was added without the truffle dressing though because the arugula ended up being a greasy blob in the sandwich and I didn't taste any of the truffle. Also, the sandwich was much smaller than expected. Overall it was a pretty good breakfast sandwich, but $12-good? I don't know.....My sister didn't enjoy her meal very much. Being curious, I tried the cold brew and it was really watered down. Also, although the gravy on the biscuit was super flavorful, the biscuit itself was dense and tough (thought I was almost going to break the plastic fork from it lol).Things that are hits and things that are misses. My wife ordered the avocado toast, the scrambled egg was delicious and didn't have that egg smell like at other places.  She almost couldn't finish the whole thing. It wasn't a very large portion but there's a lot of ingredients.  I ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich/burger. The egg yolk oozed out of the sandwich into the wrapper so I couldn't enjoy the full flavors.  It was still a good burger. The atmosphere was pretty cozy and modern. We placed an online order for pick up at a set time but got a notification that the food was ready 15 minutes before. When we arrived our food wasn't as fresh but still tasty! The staff is super friendly and the place is clean. I ordered the soft scramble and added bacon which was quite good. The sauce is light yet flavorful, I would get it again. However, the eggs were a little more cooked than a soft scramble but nonetheless a great sandwich.The rib eye steak sandwich was good the sauce on the side is really pungent and ties all of the flavors in together well.My partner liked the waffles but said they were a bit dry.Overall if you're in the area and want a good quick bite this is a great place to go! I kept seeing this place as I drove by it and who doesn't love a breakfast sandwich. Let me tell you that the sandwiches were the best ever! This place is clean and since it's sandwiches people tend to eat fats so even thought there is a line it will be easy to get a seat. I've been going here for two years already and they're always on point with the food! I always get the Scramble Me Softly with chorizo. Their chorizo is definitely homemade or something, it's not too strong in chorizo flavor but it's yummy :9 Only problem is your order will most likely not be ready by the designated time if you order thru online. This place reminds me so much of EGGSLUT in dtla! Hard to say which is better but to have a quality breakfast sandwich/burger place in the area is definitely a plus. We've been here a few times and have ordered almost all of what it offers on the menu and I gotta say our favorites are the 1) truffle crunch burger 2) cheeseburger 3) ribeye steak cheese burger.  Everything else is great too but that's our top three right there.The truffle crunch burger is paired really well with its aromatic semi sweet truffle sauce giving it a sweet savory balance with umami from the house ground brisket patty and crunchiness coming from the fried shallot.  The arugula gives it a clean cut through the buttery grease from butter & meat top it off with soft fluffy yet slightly crunchy milk bun.The beer battered potatoes were alright, I find it on the saltier side and it's not a must order unless you are hungry.The staffs here are efficient and always in get to work mode as it can get busy but lacks friendliness and smile.  Not that I expect much from a grab and go or self serve restaurant but would've loved the place with a little more welcoming vibe from the staffs! ALWAYS a hit! Super appreciate the plant based options and every potato dish and side they serve. If you don't like eggs (who doesn't like eggs? ) the potatoes alone are worth it. We went for brunch on a Sunday around 11am and most of the tables were full but there was still some seating (inside and outside patio). I ordered the scramble me softly and added a sausage - the eggs were done very well on the japanese milk bun. My friends seemed to also enjoy their Nashville chicken sandwich, truffle crunch burger, and ribeye steak and egg. After a previous experience the management team reached out and offered to correct the problems. This visit was phenomenal. The manager, Danny, was super cool and extremely friendly; took care of us right away. One of the employees recommended trying the soft scrambled eggs, I took her advice and was glad I did. The soft scrambled eggs were absolutely gas, some of the best eggs I've EVER had.  The beer battered potatoes are a must try, they are extremely crispy but still have a nice soft potato interior. My favorite spot to grab brunch with friends! High-key mid!!! Granted we did come in on Sunday but we arrived a 10:43am and we waited 45 minutes for our food, none of the team members even communicated a wait time when ordering. We got the sausage egg and cheese, the poutine and a chicken sandwich. The sausage in the sausage egg and cheese was on the burnt side, it was honestly a left down given how simple the sandwich is. The country fried chicken was disappointing and the highlight was the pickles. When the pickles are the best part of your sandwich that's how you know it's mid. The poutine was good I guess. We had the Nashville chicken hottie, berry waffle and ribeye burger. Nashville chicken and the berry waffle were good. Ribeye burger mainly arugula in the burger, not much meat. I wouldn't visit again since it took forever for the food. You can tell several tables were getting annoyed for the such long wait. I see the orders just stacking up on the counter. Although it was constantly checked by different workers, I don't think they have a specific idea what role they should be in, which caused confusion and delay in getting the orders ready. The restaurant was almost full when we arrived. It is small, maybe 5 tables on the patio and 10 or 12 inside. There were also plentiful to go orders. We waited 15 minutes for berry cheesecake waffles which were quite bread-like but flavorful. I ordered the poutine which I found divine! The potatoes, OMG the potatoes are crisp and perfectly crunchy on the outside and steamy and soft inside. EggBred was a colossal disappointment. I was extremely excited to try this potentially special place with my close friend on a federal holiday. However, everything from start to finish was sub par. We were welcomed with a permanently ajar door, which made the entire establishment very chilly. I ordered biscuits & gravy and the ribeye steak & eggs burger. This lent itself to be a costly $20. We were also informed through the use of a post it note that the wait would be about 20-30 minutes. Once our food finally arrived, I had noticed that there were no forks. As I had ordered biscuits and gravy, eating such food without a fork would be impossible. I had to go next door to the coffee shop and get their utensils. A fast casual restaurant running out of utensils while only being open for a short period of time was baffling. We had also received our food, and this was incredibly bland. I was looking for some salt and pepper to give the biscuits and gravy some flavor (these were very dry and the gravy tasted like it came out of an 89¢ can), but came to no avail. There were also no seasonings, as the only salt was in the packets of forks which they did not have. This was incredibly frustrating, as I paid a premium for this meal and received everything but a premium experience. The food was bland, the customer service was subpar, and the variety of toppings was nonexistent. I could've spent $20 at a nice diner with waiter service and gotten a much more satisfying meal, yet I chose to support EggBred and this was what came of it. Seems like it could be a nice place but my experience was a series of letdowns.  While placing my order the team member asked me a question but I couldn't understand her because the restaurant was loud, I asked her what she said twice and both times I couldn't understand her because she repeated herself at the exact same tone and volume. I still have no idea what she was asking me. Ordered a country fried chicken sandwich and split a "biscuits" and gravy with my buddy. After I ordered the team member informed me the wait would be 30 minutes by taping some receipt paper to the plexi-glass. Unfortunately they were out of utensils, something they should have informed me about when I was ordering biscuits and gravy. I almost wish the coffee shop next door didn't have a fork because when I finally tasted the biscuits and gravy it was a total let down, one large dry rectangular biscuit covered in flavorless gravy with hardly any sausage. To top it off the restaurant was out of salt AND pepper.   The pickles were the highlight of the chicken sandwich, overall the sandwich was good however the kitchen made a mistake and didn't include the egg which is supposed to come on the sandwich.  This wouldn't have been a big deal but they also forgot the side of gravy which is also supposed to come with the sandwich.  Quality ingredients but you should receive premium service when paying a premium price (or at least receive the food you payed for...) I love egg sandwiches so this was a must try spot. I ordered the bacon and eggs sandwich with jalapeño ketchup on the side (per other reviews it made the sandwich mushy) and added grilled onions. Tbh I could've made this at home but who wants to cook lol. I give this a 4.5/5 with the added grilled onions. A solid 4 without the grilled onions. The beer battered potatoes didn't stand out. It was nice and crunchy but definitely not anything worth a trip for.  The bf got the rib eye sandwich. 5/5. Pretty messy and gets all over your face deliciousness. Again, I would ask for the sauce on the side but the bf likes it already in just like and in n out burger. I couldn't give the place overall a 5/5 only because #1 instead of putting my jalapeño ketchup on the side, they gave me plain ketchup packets. The sandwich would've been nice with that jalapeño ketchup kick but who knows cause I didn't get it. Also, the bf and I were still hungry. We could've legit both ate another sandwich each haha. I don't understand the hype here. Yes, it's  adorable inside and they have cute packaging, but for a place that specializes in EGGS they can't seem to cook them correctly. On 3 diff occasions I ordered a poached egg and got a really over cooked egg that was like jelly instead of runny golden goodness. The gravy they use is awful and most everything is bland. I feel like crap after I eat here, like I need a 2 hour nap to recover. I'm officially done with trying to like this place. They get 2 stars vs 1 because their beer battered potatoes are pretty good. Excellence in EVERY detail of this restaurant! This restaurant should be featured on the TV show BEST THING I EVER ATE! Because, seriously I thought their sumptuous avocado toast was the best thing, with the crispy-but-chewy seed-bread and naturally sweet grape tomatoes. (I dripped a side of hollandaise sauce over it too). But then I bit into the huge English muffin PERFECTION! Oh. My. Gawwww. If you loved English muffins from your childhood like I did but you've never found a good one since then, PLEASE eat EggBred's breakfast sandwich on an English muffin! You WILL thank me later. I'm a brekkie lover and I highly recommend this spot. The waffle was good, could be a tad fluffier. But the berry compote and cheesecake drizzle makes ALL the difference. It is a sweet treat and my kiddies loved it so much I bought another one. Chorizo, cheese, egg sandwich was perfect. Great amount of spice from the chorizo with flavor and the added guacamole- homerun!! The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was also fantastic. My kid didn't want the jalapeño ketchup, so I missed that spice. But I asked for the chimichurri on the side and added some. Next level! French fries have a great seasoning and are not wimpy.
