Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
Accountants are trained in the details and tax professionals know the Internal Revenue Code and the tax ramifications of economic decisions. Should you sell that lot of stock? How will your tax liability change if you move to a different state? How should you pay a nanny/housekeeper? Is there a way to get out of active real estate management? Can I sell my business to my employees? We can provide answers to those questions and more! Bottom line: Your success leads to greater complexity and you will need a partner that you can discuss and/or delegate that complexity. And remember, it's not how much you make, but how much you keep!
What do you love most about your job?
I like to reduce the fear and stress that people have around taxes. I also like to research complex problems and come to the tailored solution that fits the client.
What inspired you to start your own business?
The lifeblood of free enterprise is the ability to create value through entrepreneurship. Businesses are like babies, they need a lot of care in the beginning, but the upside is huge and directly prospers not only the owners but the community of the business. I also believe that personal wealth can be an edifying force in the lives of those who earn it, invest it, spend it, and give it away to others.
