Wow! So many interesting things from several different artists!We stopped in during an afternoon exploring the River Arts District. There is a wide variety of different art styles and forms displayed and for purchase. It is a feast for the eyes!There are paintings, collages, wood art, 3-D stuff, sculpture, quilts, vignettes in cut out books, jewelry! Any form of art you are in to, you will find some of it here.My favorites were the jewelry, wallets and purses made from recycled tires. And the book displays. OOOH, and the matchbox message pieces. So sweet.They have some local cold sweet treats for purchase, as well as maps of the district and information on their artists.It is worth a visit! More...

I missed their opening when they opened over a year ago. But I happen to be back in town last month and made sure to stop at Eco Depot in Asheville River Arts District to check them out. This is a gem! The artists create really upscale pieces from recycled materials. Â Whoever is responsible for the outdoor space is a genius. Very inspiring furniture made from recycled materials. This gallery features the art of over 50 local artists and has a tremendous variety of handmade items. The owner, Shelley Schenker, is very knowledgeable about the work of all of her artists.
