There are not enough accolades to describe my amazing experience at Dynamic Fitness. I am a 68 year old woman, overweight, and I was terrified to go to a gym and get serious about fitness. Keira Newton and her staff opened up a whole new world to me. She met me where I am, and designed a program specific to my needs, including my injuries! She taught me that the scale is a liar, dieting is a scam, and has me eating more food than I have in years. Today, only three months in, I have lost inches, inches, inches, all over my body and you can actually see muscle. It has been motivating, fun, and empowering. I came to Dynamic Fitness following PT for a torn meniscus. My goals were to lose some weight and learn how to work out around my injury. After just a month of working with Keira my knee pain is gone. GONE. I call it the miracle of the knee. Kiera helped me find an eating routine that works for my post-menopausal metabolism, I am confident in my workout routine and general movement, and I’m having a blast working with heavy weights and kettlebells. Dynamic Fitness is a perfect fit for me. I have not participated in the classes (YET!), however, I go to personal training with Kiera and OMG! It's hard work physically AND mentally, but what I love about this gym is a) body positive, b) no negative self talk AT ALL (I have had to relearn how to think about myself, c) everyone you meet feels like family immediately and d) not a treadmill in sight! I've been working out with Keira Newton at Dynamic Fitness for almost 3 years now, and have become incredibly stronger and more fit. Keira's diverse knowledge, degrees and skills have been critical in my conditioning while preventing further injury. Her skills enable her to gauge when I should push myself, or ease back a bit; something I could not judge on my own. The gym itself is clean, practical, functional, and a pleasure to visit, with its own strong and vital community support. Keira is the most skilled fitness trainer I've yet to meet. More...

I joined Dynamic Fitness after a 3 week trial period - what I loved about Dynamic Fitness is the personal attention from all of the instructors who correct your form, give you modifications and work with you on your fitness level. You get the feeling of working in a small group yet a very personalized workout. For the first time for me I felt improvement strength wise in my upper body. Sure I've lost weight and gained muscle and definition. Gym attendance can do that. What’s been the surprise has been my increased flexibly and improved balance. I really don’t like exercising, so another surprise has been that I kind of look forward to going 3 mornings a week. What’s unique about this program is that it’s not a gym where you go when you want and work out unsupervised. Review of Dynamic Fitness challenge: Keira suggested realistic, do-able weight loss and fitness goals for this 8 week program and proved a great on-line forum for us to check in throughout the program. I felt really supported and part of something. She suggested we shoot for losing a pound/week and working out 3-4 times/week and that's exactly what I did; losing 8 pounds in eight weeks. Words can not adequately express how impactful this gym has been for me. Being a larger women...it’s not always easy to feel at home in a gym. This place is different...the training is different...the level of support and camaraderie is different. The workouts are challenging and fun...but most importantly they can be adapted to suit all athletic levels and body types. I’m grateful to have found a home here to shift myself body/mind/soul!! I've been a member of Dynamic Fitness for almost a year. In that time I've enjoyed a huge increase in strength and a positive change in my body composition, all while enjoying the welcoming camaraderie of the gym community. What a find! This place is a rare jewel, a secret spot to heal body and mind and have a blast getting fit. I trained with gym owner Keira Newton while I was in the Fe last fall, seeking her out after reading Yelp and other reviews. Keira is that perfect combination of badass trainer and  knowledgable physical therapist, which I need because I have an old back injury that I always have to be careful of. I had never used kettlebells, but she makes them fun. Keira also made me focus more on my abs (more! more!) and I have carried this on with my trainer at home. She and Dynamic Fitness will be my first phone call whenever I am back in Santa Fe. More...

I didn't start working out to lose weight or get strong and fit, those turned out to be just happy by-products. What I've loved about coming to Dynamic Fitness is how good I feel after every class. The instructors are wonderful, the workouts challenging and varied and the atmosphere among all the members is not at all competitive, just supportive and fun. I've been to nearly all the gyms in town and this one is like home. I have gotten strong and flexible mentally and physically. The trainers are knowledgeable and help you achieve goals - even ones you didn't know you had! The workouts are always challenging and fresh. You will use your entire body every workout. There is a focus on form and functional mobility. I have been coming for 4 years, and workout at the gym about 5 days a week. It makes me better at everything else I do! More...

i LOVE this gym. after having been a distance runner and committed to home works outs, this has been the best change ever. i am seeing more results than ever. the instructors know their stuff and really accommodate injuries while still getting fit. They hosted the last MovNat Level 3 workshop I attended and with all the official MovNat equipment they invested in, we could explore all the movements we love and improve day after day. I absolutely love this place!  I rarely write reviews but I've only been going for a week and already feel a difference.  Every instructor is so encouraging and willing to give as much individual attention as needed.  They clearly love teaching and really focus on the importance of mastering the correct form...which a lot of gyms neglect to do.  After a class I walk out feeling accomplished and inspired to keep going.  On top of that there is a great community feeling.  Its awesome, see for yourself! Keira Newton brings high level skills and in-depth understanding to her clients that far exceeded my expectations. Her approach to fitness involves the whole person & includes the many layers of self that come into the gym for a workout. With an extensive background in somatic education as a Feldenkrais Method Practitioner, Keira emphasizes the quality of movement so important in executing Kettlebell & TRX Suspension Training exercises. My private training sessions are building my strength & flexibility while simultaneously rehabilitating old injuries. I've also had several Feldenkrais sessions with Keira. After just one session, my spine felt better than it had in years. I started DKB through their 6 week bootcamp and loved it!! The staff is supportive and encouraging. The bootcamp has a support group on FB that is private just for the people in the class, so you can talk to your fellow members and encourage each other on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes. This isn't your average gym, if you are willing to work on your goals, the team is there to support you and answer any questions and concerns you have. Absolutely recommend this gym! More...

Whether you have trained with kettlebells before or not, you want to train with Keira Newton, and the team she's assembled at DKB (Dynamic Kettlebell Fitness). As some of you are well aware, KETTLEBELL IS NO JOKE. If it is your desire to absolutely transform your body, and your life, training with Keira is the ONLY way to go. She is honest, tough, yet loving, from the get-go. She does not tolerate the "I can't" attitude, and pushes you, in every moment, to have faith in your abilities, and build a trusting relationship with your body. Keira consistently reminds you that the power you need, to transform yourself, lives in your mind. This is a fantastic gym.  The classes are very small and offer individualized attention.  All of the gym members are very supportive and are a goldmine of training tips.  I highly recommend signing up for a bootcamp (which I did) because you learn a great deal of kettle bell moves, techniques,and diet/training advice which prepare you for the vast majority of DKB's non-bootcamp class offerings.  Classes range from HIIT ballistics to heavy lifting.
