I'm a 57 year old man and have been overweight for years. I love exercising but have always struggled with what I ate. I could lose weight dieting but also lost strength and found it hard to maintain. I finally decided to call Dylan and after a couple of visits, she gave me the information I needed to set me on the right track to meet my health goals. She helped me understand the interrelationship of the food I was eating and how to actually eat more and better. As of this posting, I've lost 33 pounds, actually gained strength and never feel hungry. Dylan taught me to not diet but eat right and make good choices. After years of trying all the "fad diets" because everyone else was doing it and it seemed like a good way to eat, I carried tons of guilt anytime I'd eat anything like dairy, grains, sugar, etc. Dylan's approach to intuitive eating by following what our bodies need has been so freeing for me. Dylan was so helpful in starting my journey to healthy eating! What I appreciated the most was her care to go beyond the basics and get to the “why” behind the eating habits/ruts I had gotten into. She was also great about giving tangible steps to make change, whether that be websites with amazing, healthy recipes to try or diagrams about nutritional values of food so I could learn what was best for my body.
